Wow this place boosts charm and character you won’t find at many other cafes! Such a great cosy vibe amongst amazing history and antiques. Yummy food and friendly service it feels like grandma is giving you are warm hug while enjoying your home cooked meal. Great place to go on your own or with your friends. I definitely can’t wait to go back soon!

We accidentally discovered Cafe Nova this morning. I'm so happy we did! The food was wonderful, well priced, and very very plentiful! The three gentlemen working were all so lovely, and the coffee is strong and smooth.

DO NOT pass up a slice of the caramel tart, we took it home for afternoon tea, along with a chunk of apple teacake. It's so rare to find a Cafe with proper homemade sweets (not FoodService frozen delights), and these are worth the calories. The caramel is not too sweet, and the biscuit base is amazing all on its own.

We had the savoury mince, which was rich and tasty. The poached eggs on the salmon Benny were the best soft poached I've seen in Townsville, they held together and then burst spectacularly.

We'll be back, and I'll be bringing mum and dad next time. It's worth calling in to check out all the vintage stuff around, including a very cool old jukebox.

We accidently found this place. Boy did we strike gold, best breakfast I’ve had in AUS so far, service was A1 so friendly and welcoming and the food was fresh, very well presented and portions were spot on. Don’t miss this hidden gem. Friendly on the wallet too.

Cafe` Nova's post about their Easter menu drew me in for a revisit. Their original creation of "Hot Cross Bun n Butter Pudding" did not disappoint.!

Very interesting and lovely cafe. I had banana crèpes, caramel tart all home made and very tasty. My wife had a spectacular looking serve of lasagne. She said it was lovely. The cafe is decorated with great antiques and there are really cool booths as well as different sized tables. It's licensed as well. The guys who run it are very nice as well, they made us feel like old friends.

Absolute gem of a cafe in the CBD, serving up a good range of wholesome food and homemade desserts. Owned and run by two standout gents that are so friendly and welcoming, you're instantly warmly welcomed and made to feel like old friends. We also appreciate how accommodating they are with our sometimes-fussy and often difficult child! We'll be back again and again.

Going into Café Nova was a last minute decision, as a friend were going to see a movie around the corner. Its a funky little setting and the two guys running it were very cool, nothing was a problem for them. We ordered breakfast and coffee, sat down while checking things out around us, my friend decided she wanted to have a glass of champagne to go with breakfast. We decided to go sit outside at the two tables out there. coffee was brought out, champagne was served breakfast was served all was very good, id go back without hesitation. and would recommend it with out hesitation.

A lovely, unique cafe, beautiful antique decor that takes you back in time. We 5 ladies enjoyed a meal and coffee. The service and food are excellent.

My friend and I were walking to the movies and stumbled upon this little hidden cafe, Looks very old outside but the neon sign and the vintage object we saw inside enticed us to go and have a look inside, as soon as I walked in it was like I walked into a different era. It was vintage and beautiful inside, such a lovely layout, My friend and I could resist to taking some photos for insta. The 2 guys running the place were so friendly, would recommend this place to anyone in Townsville

Great vintage style Cafe, food was awesome at very affordable prices, owners were very accommodating in assisting with presenting my son with a portrait for his birthday. Highly recommended.

I had lunch at Cafe Nova with my Italian family and I can confirm that the food is great. Particular praise goes to the focaccias and the soup. I had a mediterranean salad and was very good with plenty of herbs and feta cheese. The service is fast and nice. Overall score is positive and I personally recommend this cafe to everyone who wants to have a yummy and healthy meal
