Rabobank have helped me so much with my savings, the extended withdrawal time that you can set on the account is the stern talking to I need to stop spending my savings. I’m finally on track to where I need to me and I recommend them to all of my friends!

I love this bank: no fees, highest interest rates on the market, easy to open multiple bank accounts, easy to transfer money between them. Would recommend to everyone.

On top of a login name and password, you are issued a little device called a digipass which is used to generate a rolling code used for log in. This adds an extra layer of protection called 2FA (2-Factor-Authentication). I have this with my other international banks. I my self would not use a Banks phone App for 2FA, as your phone is connected to the web and can be hacked. This means your 2FA APP is only as secure as your phone's Operating system. Having an isolated device is more secure. My money is more important to me than convenience. Rabo's website clearly tells you about this digipass so do your research or read the PDS before signing up. Disposing of the digipass is no different to getting ride of your old tech. I don't know any company that has you send back old tech you bought from them. There are a lot of free places that take this stuff if you want to save the environment. The negative with Rabo is it is only online and they have a small foot print in Australia. Though they are a very large international bank from the Netherlands. Having branches would give people more confidence in signing up. 3.25 stars.

I have been trying for weeks to withdraw the remaining $10 worth of interest from my account by updating the nominated bank details to no avail! I have spoken to 6 different customer service people about it who promised to follow up but didn’t. I have forwarded bank statements, transferred money across from the the new nominated account to Rabobank twice to verify it with them. I still can’t withdraw my money. I know it’s only a small amount of money but it says a lot about their lack of service and concern.

We withdraw our funds some time ago due to disappointment with poor investment performance, poor management processes, poor customer service and generally rubbish technology and manual paperwork required for common account management and the ridiculous token key that made it impossible to use the service on the go, or at least we thought we had left them...

But now we are plagued with letters and reminders claiming we have active account(s) and must take actions. Each attempt to get Robobank to again try to close the accounts is met with direction to the switchboard number of generic line (as per the responses i see again from them here on the reviews) Anti-discrimination laws requiring them to respond via the communication method suitable for the customer is clearly not their thing nor is customer service.

We even have raised several complaints but they are closed with no action? So basically there is no complaints handling process!

Under the banking code this is of course classified as harassing and possibly coercion as clearly they are trying to make it too difficult to move on, plus they need to comply with basic regulatory laws which would not allow them to operate a complaints process as they have (these needs to be executed formally and with a documented process and timeframe).

In any case enough is enough, we want to be done with rabobank who would want to risk their money with such a place! Would someone from rabobank just let us go please! Close our accounts give back the remaining money and go away.

BTW Rabo's response they just added today is absolutely hilarious! Gold! What did I say about being DIRECTED to the switchboard!!!!! They did it again!! The "owner" cannot even be bothered reading customer reviews and clearly validated my concerns about them being discriminatory in that if you cannot communicate by voice message then bad luck my friends Rabo will not deal with you!

Fantastic to deal with until you disclose how much you need... then you get shown the door with a "thanks for coming in but it wouldn't be enough debt for us to consider you even becoming a customer, try the NAB as they don't mind dealing with someone of your size"

Absolute rubbish with the slogan a bank by farmers for farmers.

Started process in opening an account on 17th of June 2020 and a week later still haven't completed the process!! It's taken a week to verify a linked account with a deposit of a $1 and am apparently going to receive a pack which will have a device called a digipass in it which I will need to access my account. NOT HAPPY!! I wasn't told that this would be the process and will be closing my account as soon as I can without anymore of my money being transferred to Radobank. I can only imagine that the process of getting my money out of Radobank will be just as time consuming. DON'T DO IT!! Read past reviews and DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OPENING AN ACCOUNT!!!

Trying to open an account with this bank is near impossible so much mucking around, spoke to a guy by the name of Josh who was so inpatient my husband said if you keep talking like that l want to talk to someone else.
We will not continue to put our money in your bank. Maybe you should read all of your reviews and improve on what you are doing wrong.

Can you save the environment? The only way you can access your account is with a 'digipass' a small computer electronic device you send out. Had I known this I would have never signed up for my account. It means that you can't access your money unless you have that with you, and once I closed my account there is no recycling or reuse program. I was told to 'dispose it' (put it in landfill). How wasteful and inconvenient, haven't you guys heard of mobile phones for account authorisation? Have used a number of financial institutions down the years and never come across anything like this. Avoid using Rabo Direct!

Virtually impossible to communicate with them. Best thing I did was close my account and have nothing to do with Rabobank ever again. Absolutely useless organisation.
