Waterfall Gully Carpark

Peaceful area to sit and relax or go for a walk on the trails. Public toilets available. Car park is close by.

This was the starting point of my hike from Waterfall Gully Carpark to the summit of Mount Lofty. We took about 90 minutes to hike to the submit and about an hour to return. The hike is moderately difficult but there are benches for hikers to take a break. Mostly walking on gravel but there are certain parts which are rather steep, especially at the beginning and the last 1.5km nearing the summit.

Look out for the amazing birds on the trail like kookaburra. The summit is amazing. As it was cloudy, we could hardly see the city and the sea. Lots of informative display along the way.

Wow. Really beautiful waterfall just around the corner of the city . Lots of water at this time of year and really calming. Parking was also really easy we managed to find multiple spots to park in. Worth visiting

Such a great, easy walk in beautiful surroundings and so close to the CBD. Well worth the stroll and suitable for prams and young kids. A must do for the little ones and be prepared for wet feet.

It's a nice place where you can relax 😌. On the top of the waterfall you will be able to see a nice view.

Great spot to visit. Even if you don’t do the Summit walk. Very scenic.
Parking needs d sad one major improvements, it’s awful and dangerous.
Toilets are also average, they are shared male/female toilets and given the woman running around in skimpy active wear they should be separated for their safety and comfort.
Also need some better touch free handles and hand sanitizer options.

Accessible for different ages, just a short walk to see the waterfall. Public toilets available. And it links up with the longer hike if you wish to go further. Restraunt nearby, however check ahead if it is open as they sometimes do private only functions for weddings ECT.

Beatiful place, good option if you wanna go with friends or family, plenty space for parking. Maybe on the weekends or afternoon might get some problems finding a space, but usually it doesnt take too long. You have some trekking options aswell, the landscape is amazing and very close to the city 🤙 🗻.

Decent walk up to My Lofty. Paved track for 99% of the way up. Definitely not for the unfit, it's about 8km and 400m elevation gain. On a hot day it's quite tough for a tourist track.

Peaceful place awesome and love to stay more and more specially in sunny weather.

To visit

There is a Great 1st waterfall just up from the carpark. You can get a park here during the week quite easy but on tge weekend you need to get there pretty early to do so. Good place to start if your doing the Waterfall Gully to Mount Lofty Summit walk. They were doing alot of restoration work on the track so large sections were blocked off if you want to walk to My Lofty. You can get access to the 2nd Falls but not long after that you end up on Chinamans Hut track up until the road crossover for the last 700 metres just before The summit. #LetsGuide #bushwalk #Adelaidehills #Adelaide #southaustralia

Limited parking space so coming earlier would help you to find parking space easily. The first thing is you will see the great view of waterfall.

The walk to Mt Lofty from Waterfall Gully is always a must do when in Adelaide. The walk its self is challenging with the steepness and beautiful in its scenery. The view from the top on a clear day is spectacular!

The water is quite less but it's the nature that draws you... Be ready to trek up cause just at the base is no fun

on weekend you got to go there b4 6:15am to get a 🚗 park.
