Yang’s Dumpling

Watched them make dumplings whilst ours were being cooked. So so fresh and quick service. Perfect for a quick bite before our show. Loved that we cots get out on quantity of condiments

Ordered takeaway- their signature set dumpling with soy milk and sweet dumpling.

Love how juicy it is eating them at home as well as very crispy at the bottom

Their sweet dumpling soup was just right , not to sweet or strong in wine, cooked really well and the dumplings are still good when I ate them at home. Almost an hour late from the time it’s ready.

Forgot to take photos of the signature fried dumplings, very yummy, the pork meat is not very tender but the flavour is perfect. Xiaolongbao is pretty good too, thin skin that doesn’t break with lots of soup.

Hands down the best dumpling restaurant I have been to. I’ve tried a few in my time but these are by far the best.
The pan fried pork buns were super juicy and delicious but the real hero was the black truffle Xiao long bao. Those are a must try.

Service was great and very clean.

After having Yang's dumpling in Shanghai, I was thrilled to find out they have a store in Melbourne! There wasn't a huge line up like ones in Shanghai but the tastes were equally as good. Loved the black truffle pork buns, the vegetable & pork ones were good. Pan-fried buns are their specialty, just beware these buns are suppose to be "juicy" with plenty of soups, so make sure you have a spoon when u have it!

famous Shanghainese Yang's dumpling landed Melbourne. never had the chance to try in China so it's pretty exciting to see it here.

the vegetable shengjian (#2 on their menu) is my fav - juicy and flavorable. shrimp ones are dry and not as good as I expected.

I am a Shangainese native. Absolutely the same as I have had in Shanghai with full childhood memories. The best 生煎包 in town. A bit longer waiting time. A bit overly priced. 10/10 for sure.

We order the fried pork wontons-great! Steamed pork dumplings-great! Spicy pork wonton in red chilly oil with peanut sauce-great and the Fried noodles with shredded chicken.

Dumplings are unlike many others in Melbourne. Pan fried but still so juicy in the middle. Made fresh to order but delivered to table in no time. Would eat here again.

Fantastic Food, really enjoyed the easygoing casual atmosphere. Great to see happy staff and owners smiling. not very often I get to see such humble and happy chinese restauranteurs.

The fried dumplings in this restaurant are very delicious. It's very juicy. That's what makes it special. Some steamed stuffed bun to eat sour because the cooking wine put more, which is a normal phenomenon.

Special combinations of fried rice and Shanghai-style fried noodles are also good.

I've met a lot of locals who are regular visitors here. The food has also been tweaked to suit local tastes, making it more palatable to locals.
