Mount Gambier Railway Lands

I really like what both Mount Gambier City & District Council of Grant Councils have done for the railway areas. The area around the centre of the railway lands is a great recreation area. What I find the best is the transition of the railway lines into the walking/ cycling track. It runs from Pick Ave right through to Cafpirco Rd & also out to Wandillo Rd. I can easily do 15km on a ride without having to ride in traffic. Very safe & now the lighting has been installed, it will be even better in winter. So good❤❤

Massive area of the old railway yards with bike paths, grassed areas, bbq's & a huge area for the kids to play, more than my photos show

This is a fantastic space to go for a walk by yourself, with your dog or friends.
There is a public toilet available to use and are kept in excellent condition. They are always clean and have plenty of soap. It is a wonderful use of a space that no longer has a purpose.

Really nice big open space. If your kid likes rocks they will be in heaven. There’s an antiques /trash and treasure shop adjacent that was good for a look round. And a brewery pub thing too.

Bit of a play ground and a nice long bike path - great for scooter rollerblades etc. not a huge amount of shade so maybe don’t go in middle of hot day

A regular spot for our regular walks. Flat level surface makes walking here safe. Popular place for families, children can ride bikes safely, skate ring plenty for children to do.

Awsome place to walk. Walk from one side of the town to the other.. Do a bit of shopping on the way or pop in for a coffee along the way. Good easy walking... Nice flat walk. No hills. Easy for kids on bikes or boards.

Absolutely fantastic. A lot of grass to put your blanket down to watch the Carols. Great place to catch up with friends. Easy access to public toilets. Well done the City of Mt Gambier

Absolutely fantastic. Did the limestone coast toy run and that's where it finished up. Food stalls and live entertainment. Almost 500 motorcycles and motor cars. Excellent turnout. Well organized and great day.

Walking the dog for a friend. Soz. Will bring a camera for next time. A beautiful greyhound rescued by the animal welfare league. Just had to get a new pink collar and harness. Luv Bobby the most beautiful greyhound.

Great place to take a stroll, kids can play in the nature playground and even take doggy for a walk. BBQ facilities available and sheltered seating and tables.

Love walking the dog down here, but is a great play area for the kids to explore or ride their bikes and scooters. Comes alive on a warm summer night

This is a really nice park, it has a lot of space, plenty of climbing platforms sculptures and a river stream. It also has a shared pedestrian and bike lane.

Fantastic place. Bike track is very well made, flat and very clean. Goes a fair distance but a nice easy bike ride or walk.

Great place on a sunny day, lots of activities that are nature based, climbing tree structures, exploring creeks. Bbq areas are great too, close to shops

Always a great place for the kids to run/bike/scoot around and can take the dog too. Love it!

Absolutely wonderful park for free play for the children. Particularly after hours of driving.
