I don't normally write a review but after reading all of these bad ones I had to share my experience.

I was happy to pay the one off fee of $120 and then after that bulk bill. All other surgery's charge at least $70 every time you go there.

Every doctor I have seen has been great and I have no issues.

I noticed that the reception staff are extremely attentive, especially to the older generation that they seem to know well. Always asking 'how are you feeling?, how is the family? etc etc

And as for waiting, I have no issue with that. Because everyone before me is there because they are sick and need assistance and I am happy to wait my turn. As someone mentioned try going to emergency and being seen before 7 hours.

Ive only had good experiences here. Yes. The wait times can be a bit long sometimes. But Im sure Drs have a lot of bureaucratic admin to do before, between and after patients. The Dr I see, Dr Boey I think, is a lovely, worldly man who has proven to me he knows his stuff. Busy receptionists have always been fine too. Straight to the point.

The hard working, kind people that keep this medical centre running deserve far more credit than they get. I've been a patient of Marrickville Metro Medical Centre for 6 years and I've always felt heard, validated and cared for. The quality of care has always been worth the wait.
If you find yourself leaving a poor review or bullying the staff because of the long wait time you're probably the same kind of person that would complain because your consultation was rushed and you expected the doctor to spend more time with you.
If you're after a walk in, walk out service with no wait time and a long consultation you should consider goibg somewhere that charges a co-payment, or just keep your misogynistic outbursts to yourself for the benefit of everyone else in the waiting room.

Very Happy with the service here, staff are friendly and Dr Boey has been extremely helpful with resolving any issues I’ve presented with. Yes you will have to wait but that is very normal anywhere, try going to emergency!!!

I have been going to Metro Medical for over 20 years and I have NEVER had to wait more than about 30minutes, usually much less, but then, I don't turn up at peak times, like 9am Monday mornings. If I ask how long the wait is, the reception staff give me a pretty accurate estimate. I find the staff just fine and the doctors as good as any, which means, very good. I really can't support the negative reviews on this site.

I’ve read some bad reviews of this practice but my experience with Jonathon Boey is that he’s an excellent GP. He listens, asks thoughtful questions, and follows through with great advice. Have had less great experiences with other doctors there, who were frankly far older and less engaged. Jon was a breath of fresh air and is the kind of doctor I’d follow to another clinic.

After reading many of the reviews I took a chance.

I must say that I was quite impressed by the experience. Okay, so I had to come back in an hour when I went during the late arvo to the reception as it was reasonably chockas, which was fine. I just went home and came back again.

After coming back I waited a couple of minutes and was seen by a well informed new doctor. She was great in handling my needs and was able to book into having a full check up.

Despite having to reschedule due to personal reasons, I got a lot of value out of the visit. Receptionist was great as well. Bulk billed as well. Informative as well and I got my medical certificate too for work based on my diagnostics of my unfortunate illness.

I *guess* it could be problematic on weekends or a "luck of the draw" thing akin to flying on an airliner or restaurant...best way to manage it is to I dunno...just bear with it as so many other things in life.

Otherwise...

No issues here...over (radio static)...

My girlfriend and I went in on a Saturday, not too busy. Saw the young Doctor whose name has slipped my mind, possibly Dr Boey. Great experience, extremely helpful and understanding. Definitely happy.

I have been coming here for 20 years and even moving away I still return. Yes it’s often busy but most bulk billed medical centres are. I make an appointment which is why I don’t have a problem, so pick up the phone and call with 24hrs notice and it helps. My local centre at Kingsgrove at times is a shocker so rather then wait for upto 3 hrs I put my name down then come home and go back again.
But if I want to see very good doctors, Dr Chaplin or Dr Bletsis I make an appointment and I’ve never had a problem.

My husband and I have been patients at Thi smedical centre for over 20 years run by Dr Criticos and Dr Calligerous. The staff are coordinated by the practice manager Lee, who runs it like a well oiled machine. Sister Sophia is there for dressings, flu shots and for all nursing duties required by the practice. The first impression on arrival is important and we find the staff reliable, lapful and considerate for all our needs, especially in making further appointments. It is very beneficial to have pathology staff on site especially as they come in early. A bonus when you are waiting for fasting bloods to be taken. The continuity of staff is comforting. I have no doubt Dr Criticos and you Dr Calligerous are both very aware of how much your staff do for everyone and that you appreciate them as much as we the patients do. Thank you all!

I'm not much of a review writer but the 1.5 star rating for this centre seems unjustified. I can at least vouch for Dr Andrew Chaplain who was highly attentive and helpful regarding a relatively sensitive issue, despite me coming at the end of what I'm sure was a long day. Anyway, thanks Andrew! :)

I have been going here for years. Easy parking, bulk billed, chemist nearby. If there is a wait time the receptionist will tell you. I usually put my name down and then do my shopping and go back.

I am surprised at so many bad reviews. I called this place the other day and the woman I spoke to was very helpful. I can't fault this place at all.
