My fiancée and I truly had the most amazing experience working with Ernst and Sharon, and we couldn't recommend them highly enough. We had both of our wedding rings made at Studio 303 - not only is Ernst an incredibly talented designer and master craftsman, we always had the most warm welcome and great chats when we were there. You cannot go wrong working with Ernst and Sharon - their work is of the highest quality and is simply beautiful...and they really are just the most lovely people to help you create something special. I wanted some jewellery given to me my mother re set in a dress ring. Ernst had a huge photo catalogue of rings he had made over 50 years to help choose a design I liked that could be adapted to my own personal taste. The extend of his experience in jewellery design made me feel very confident straight away that the ring would be very professionally designed and made.
He took a lot of time discussing my design and also offered me options for the old gold. I found him to be very trustworthy and honest. Sharon, his wife, was exceptionally helpful with design selection too, communicating how things were going along the design & make process, and getting a price for some gold to contribute to the cost of the ring.
The ring looked exactly like the design Ernst had drawn on paper.
I can only say that I am exceptionally happy with my ring, and the process from start to finish. I have no hesitation in recommending Studio 303.

Sharon and Ernst helped me to create a ceremonial mace based on my design from start to finish. This would normally be a daunting process. It's a rather large outlay, and you just don't know whether what you had in mind will eventuate to what will end up in your hands. Sharon and Ernst were fantastic to deal with. They talked through the entire design and provided assistance with what can be done. Their experience with crafting custom pieces large or small is very clear. Nothing was too hard, and they were able to ship the final product interstate.

I am extremely pleased with the mace they produced. The quality and craftsmanship is superb. They have made a stunning heirloom piece that will be passed on for generations. I am very happy with the results and wholeheartedly recommend them.

Studio 303 is a great place to learn how to make interesting and creative jewellery with Ernst, a renowned master metalsmith and Lucas, a highly awarded brilliant jeweller. There is so much to learn and it’s so nice to be able to learn at your own pace, create your own designs with the support and expertise of Ernst and Lucas. With Sharon and Ernst, the fully functional workshop is also full of wonderful and friendly students, making it a very comfortable learning and fun environment. I cannot speak highly enough of this great and collaboratively learning space. It’s so much better than any other jewellery school I’ve attended. Thank you so much Ernst and Sharon.

My husband got me my 30th birthday gift from there. It was designed from scratch and we could choose every little details and stones. Ernst and Sharon are the nicest people and Ernst is great at explaining all the differences and the steps involved in creating your jewellery. I had a good idea of what I wanted in terms of concept but was lost in terms of how it could be done. The result is amazing and I love my ring. Very good value for money too compared to big jewellery franchise as you get high quality and pay what's fair. I would definitely recommend!

Ernst and Sharon worked with my husband and myself to create both my engagement ring - a unique piece which I was able to help design created around a black pearl - and our wedding bands. The design for the engagement and wedding rings was not straightforward, and Ernst was endlessly patient as we worked and reworked the design and the fit until it was just right. We are both really happy with the outcome and feel our rings really reflect our personalities. The whole process was really personal which was just what i was looking for.

My daughter recently attended a 10 week evening course at Studio 303 in Sydney. She learnt some great skills with Ernst which provided her with the knowledge, confidence and ability to complete her jewellery for her HSC Design & Technology major works independently. Ernst is very experienced and was able to explain steps in a clearly making it easy for her to learn and progress efficiently. I decided that for my 21st birthday I wanted a ring, nothing fancy, but something that had some weight to it, something that I could pass on. After a few session chatting with Ernst and Sharon in the studio we came up with a design that I was happy with. A ring that had a style and design that I couldn't find anywhere else. Despite COVID-19 setbacks Ernst and Sharon when to great lengths to fabricate the ring just in time for my birthday. The ring was everything I had imagined in my head, Ernst took my vague ideas and brought them into reality. After having assisted Ernst in a few bespoke “arty” projects he had been commissioned to create, I knew he was the obvious choice, as a perfectionist and master craftsman, to redesign my wife’s engagement ring for our 40th wedding anniversary. I also commissioned him to repair several pieces of heirloom jewellery that had suffered the ravages of time. I would not have contemplated giving the task to anybody else.

Having just completed a 5 day intensive I can highly recommend Studio 303 Leichhardt. The calibre of the 2 tutors is excellent and there is a wealth of knowledge to be gained in both Jewellery and Silversmithing as they have years of experience to draw from. From the management to the general experience during the week it was welcoming, professional, pleasant, fun and extremely informative. I left feeling a bit amazed at my results, satisfied with what I had learnt and eager to learn more next time.
