Took a morning walk here & wow! Amazing views, fresh air, a great getaway from the hustle & bustle of Sydney CBD.

Loved the Defence of Sydney,-North Fort Tunnel Tour, well worth the $11 ticket. A slice of history from a time in Sydney's War History right on Sydney Harbour.
All restoration is done by volunteers and your ticket cost goes to help fund further restoration.
You won't be disappointed. awesome 1hr45min with a knowledgeable volunteer guide.
After the tour stroll down the "Walk of Remembrance" and the Fairfax Lookout Loop.

Located with Sydney Harbour National Park at North Head, North Fort offers an example of what it would be like to have been stationed here as a member of the military. Panoramic city and coast views on offer as well as the highly regarded Bella Vista cafe for brunch or a light lunch. Accessible by bus from Manly or limited parking on site.

Interesting walking trails with excellent views, historical sites and war memorial. Not a lot of shade so bring your sunscreen!
