French Basket cafe

The perfect authentically French cafe-where they even encouraged me to practice my terrible French when ordering, I promise to be better next time.
It's nice to be at a cafe with good old fashioned hospitality that makes you feel welcome to stay all day, even with two kids and a dog.
I had the most delicious avocado toast on a crispy baguette, my daughters loved a waffle with jam, and we all found a new favourite with French doughnuts....follow my lead and have all three flavours, they are that good. We want to go back next weekend.
Oh, and to top it all off there's a park just across the road for the kids. Sunday morning staycations done right.

Good coffee & a wonderful range of French fair. Their sausage is awesome! They also used environmentally sustainable coffee bean husk reusable cups. It’s in a light industrial area but the immediate atmosphere breaths viva Le France! You’ll love it!

Delicious gluten-free berry banana crépe (NB: proper French crépe) with housemade strawberry l’confiture - and do try the low gluten toasted baguette melt of gruyére and cherry jam: just divine after a winters surf with a raspberry candy almond latté.....beneath filtered sunlight through towering blue gums, warm gas heaters and super snuggly rugs make a quintessential Oz outdoor experience that’s close to perfect!

Words can't describe how exceptional this place is! I've stopped by a few times, sometimes just for a pastry and other times just to have a look around. Whether I would make a purchase or not, I was always greeted warmly. Today, I got a cup of coffee and a baguette. Jacobe and Lucile were great! They both went above and beyond in showing hospitality and an extensive product knowledge. The food was delicious! I don't know of any cafes that offer guests, not just coffee, but an experience! Hands down the best coffee in the Northern Beaches!

Amazing cafe with the best coffee on the Northern Beaches - actually the best coffee I've had in Australia full stop. And amazing breads, pastries, crepes, cheeses and much more. Add in super friendly and knowledgeable staff with excellent service and really reasonable pricing - well it's no wonder I keep heading back.

We just had the best coffee here so we had to share. The barista made the new ONA Toffee Apple coffee tastes so full of aroma and body. Highly recommended for coffee lovers.
Best croissants in town! They are freshly baked on the spot. The lemon infused salmon omelette was full of flavour too.

We LOVE this place! The coffee and hot chocolates are fantastic. The baguettes and croissants are to die for. The saussison is a regular staple in our house and the croque monsieurs...? Well dont get me started on those - havent had one that good since I was actually in France! And they sell Sunkist - a reminder of childhood holidays on the continent! x

A little gem where you can sit in the sun under the trees and soak up the atmosphere. Awesome Ona coffee and the best baguettes and pastries this side of Paris! They have only been open since late last year and were incredibly missed over the Christmas break. Do yourself a favour and try the Avo on a crusty baguette with herbs fresh from the garden. I am also addicted to their Gruyere from the Alps. An oasis that welcomes you with happy smiles, great coffee and the best food!

Amazing! Super friendly customer service, best bacon and egg ‘croissant’ roll we’ve ever had, and the beignets melt in your mouth. Coffee excellent too. Would highly recommend!

Great setting, easy access if you're in the way to work. Ham and cheese baguettes are fantastic. Also have a novel keep cup swap so you don't have to remember to wash yours.

Service with a Smile and a Barista that makes a killer coffee. I work opposite this booming little cafe. So good to see them busy every day. They put their heart and soul into this cafe, and i love their coffee every day!!!

I have been coming to french basket for some time and I have got to know Alex and Caine! Have to say there are always consistent with Coffee, the smile, service, and attitude wich makes a such and enjoyable experience. Great team work 👍🏼

As a coeliac I have an intolerance to Wheat or Gluten but fortunately for me the "Traditional Baguette" doesn't affect me and it is super delicious in a Sandwich with the rich Butter, Cheese & Saucissons... I look forward to my Saturday morning ritual... Great Food, Great Coffee, Great Atmosphere & Wonderful friendly Staff. "Bon Appetit"

One of the best coffees I have tasted in a long time. Great start to the morning, and the croissant was fluffy and delicious.

Awesome little espresso bar with the best French pastry I have tasted in Australia. The Ona was perfect. Will return again and again.

Hands down, the best coffee on the beaches! Gorgeous, smiling staff and super convenient to grab and go (but also a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy some of the yummy pastries and baguettes)

Absolutelty delightful. The food is wonderful and so is the service. Overall such a great experience every time. Love French Basket, a great addition to Mona Vale.
