Beyond grateful to have found Dr Andy to guide and support us through our second pregnancy. The confidence Andy instilled in me and my body’s ability to birth was so refreshing. Through each twist and turn of my pregnancy and birth journey Andy was calm, compassionate and empowering, and ultimately allowed us to have a beautiful and healing birth experience. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Just wish we’d found him for our first pregnancy!

We are so glad we chose Andy to look after us for our third pregnancy. Andy was so kind and caring and always wanted the best outcome for myself and baby. We had a beautiful birth where Andy was calm and attentive the whole way through and I would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone that’s looking for an amazing OB. Forever grateful for such a great experience!

Andy was recommended to me at 30 weeks pregnant as one of the only OB’s to really empathise with and support women wanting to attempt VBACs. Andy did absolutely everything possible to support me through my pregnancy and helped me feel confident, empowered and safe in his care. From the first time he called me on the phone before we met I felt at ease with him as he’s extremely personable and kind not to mention knowledgeable! He was simpatico to my needs and birth wishes and I had a magical labour. Highly Recommend him for a stress free pregnancy and birth!

I highly recommend Andy. From the moment we met, he made us feel comfortable. He is warm, friendly and knowledgeable. He puts you first always. Whenever I had a concern throughout the pregnancy, he responded asap. Even the most minor issues. He delivered my baby and was so calm through the whole thing. As soon as our little man came out, he held my hand and said he’s going to be just fine. Everything is ok. He made me feel right at ease after the long labour. Whenever I went to the physio ( a few of them) before and after birth, they all knew of Andy, and all said “he’s great isn’t he”. The team at his clinics were also all wonderful to deal with. So friendly and welcoming. Never had to wait for very long. The midwife was also so friendly and warm to work with and helped me through the labour. Couldn’t have done it without this team.

We went back to Manly Beach Babies for a third time for care during and after pregnancy and birth and wouldn’t go anywhere else! We had every confidence in Dr Pickering from the moment we met him and I am so grateful for having such a wonderful OB who helped me achieve a normal vaginal delivery, that was also a VBAC.
Dr Pickering was extremely generous with his time, despite being in what I can only imagine is a very demanding job. Andy guided us through the ups and downs of pregnancy with his honest, no fuss approach yet took all of our questions and concerns seriously. Despite being my third baby I had some significant anxiety about labour and birth and I am SO SO glad he was there to help me deliver my baby.
Also, a shout out to midwife Briony (who works in the rooms also) for all of her advice on getting a good start on breast feeding, checking in, and for reminding me about physio.

Words cannot describe how thankful we are for finding such a wonderful OB such as Dr Andrew Pickering. Throughout our entire pregnancy journey we felt comfortable, confident and safe in his care. Our pregnancy was not an easy one with multiple issues arising throughout - having Gestational diabetes, Cholestasis of pregnancy and early stages of Pre-eclampsia. Andy made us feel calm and at ease with every circumstance that arose with his great communication and professional approach.
