A fantastic cafe located in Mortdale. The coffee is super great, the service is friendly, and the food is beyond expectation. Highly recommend the tiramisu latte and tonkatsu rice bowl. Will definitely come back and try other dishes!!

Nice little corner cafe, close to Oatley Park. The burger is so good paired with fried eggs. I love the ramen especially the nutty soup, so yum. Their coffee is also very impressive, highly recommend the set, we got the long black, piccolo and orange juice long black.

Visited St. Kai for a Japanese brunch and it was absolutely delightful. The Yemen microlot Jarmah Natural coffee was a standout with its rich flavors of raspberry, black currant, and lemon plum—truly a rare find. The Tiramisu Latte was perfectly sweet and indulgent. Don't miss the Tantanmen ; its the best! The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, making it a perfect spot for a weekend brunch. Highly recommend!

This is not your typical suburban cafe. The food is, what I would describe as, Japanese inspired ModOz. The dish I had was excellent. While simple it was well made and presented. The coffee was excellent. Staff were pleasant and professional. All in all a very pleasing experience and I will be returning to try the ramen. Update - I returned and tried the ramen. It did not dissapoint! Next will be the Donburi :-)

While the place is quite pricey, I believe it’s for good reason.
I ordered the wagyu patty brekkie roll ($16). It was delicious, and since I was absolutely famished, I finished the thing in under ten minutes. Fatty gooey goodness. I couldn’t take a photo since I dug in right away.
As for the coffee, it’s ridiculously good. Probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Post-covid times have rendered many of my favourite coffee spots mediocre. I’m so glad I finally gave this place a go, I will definitely be revisiting. My large oat latte with an extra shot was appreciated even by my sister, who hates all non-dairy coffee. If you like cold brews ($9, nitro), you really need to try this place.

Unique and chill cafe tucked away in the quiet suburban streets. Coffees were very smooth. Really enjoyed the filter coffee and bebop coffee. Both the sandwich and brekkie roll were delicious. Definitely keen to come back and try more items from the menu.

Lovely Japanese inspired cafe. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. I had the Tantanmen (see photo).
They also have weekly specials that they call “Research and Development” 😄
They appear to be dog friendly as well, although I didn’t have my pup with me at the time 🐶

This was a bit of a drive out of the way, but absolutely worth the trip. The vibes are good, the menu offers up plenty of fun twists for fan of both typical brunch fare and Japanese staples like ramen and donburi. The roster of beverages available is similarly diverse, so be sure to get experimental. St Kai's is easily one of the best cafes in Sydney right now. Strongly recommended.

Amazing Japanese-inspired brunch cafe tucked away in a quiet corner in Mortdale. Visited twice and the food was fantastic both times. Really enjoyed the clean, minimalist vibes of this cafe as well as the Japanese touches in their decor (loved the anime art). Their menu is small but changes up from time to time, so I'd gladly revisit in future to try more of their items!

If you're looking for a hidden gem, St Kai is the place to go. First of all, this place is busy for a reason! Great family owned business with charming service and just downright delicious food and good coffee. Okay so I’m a local which makes me bias but credit needs to go where credit is due! Keep up the great work St Kai :) ps their burgers and noodle dishes are a must.
