Amazing restaurant, with great staff and really lovely food! The head chef is a master in his craft and a real character! This is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I realy enjoy the great selection of wines and whiskey on offer here, they have something for everyone. I highly recommend a steak here, the high quality produce is very noticeable. 10/10 guys.

Great restaurant this was one of the best meals I have had in a long time.
4 of us were very impressed with entrees, mains and desserts. Friendly staff, chef/owner came around and chatted to all guests. Will definitely be our new favorite restaurant.

Nice service, good food, good experience.
The waitress was so nice and charming, carefully and professionally delivery cutlery and food, all along with a kind smile.
We had grilled lamb plate and chicken club sandwich, both were great.

The food is absolutely first class. Particularly the spicy prawns with the mango salsa - outstanding. we loved the ambience and the staff were friendly and very professional. Highly recommend for mid week dinner or a fancy date night

Been here 2 times in past fortnight, had lovely meals every time. Their seafood is exquisite and fresh. Bouilliabaise was beautiful. Service excellent. So glad to have them back in Illawong. Thanks Noel and staff!

The food was very nice, generous portions and well priced.
We had takeaway, since we unfortunately couldn't get a booking (due to covid restrictions), but the food was still really good despite having to drive home with it.
We will definitely try to dine in.

The staff were also very friendly.

Main meals were all yummy. Probably best mashed potato I've ever had. I would have selected any of the Main meal options - they all sounded good. Desserts were okay. It was a little noisy probably due to the empty spaces for social distancing.

The food here is really good. The staff are lovely and so accommodating. I would highly recommend the beef and Guinness pie and every dessert on the menu. We will definitely be coming back.

Two words come to mind when trying to describe Gumbuya Café...... Welcoming & Delicious. My husband & I have eaten here a few times, have tried breakfast, lunch & dinner,
And it’s never been a disappointing experience. Noel - Head chef, has put together a culinary cultured menu, with tastes from the Mid-east, to Asia and Western fusions.
Staff are great, and the cocktails..... Wow!

Put this place on your ‘to try list’ for sure.

Lovely casual place to dine with quality meals. Owner/chef always updates meals with new menus (but still can prepare your favourite meals of old). Takes me 55 mins to drive there but well worth it.

Possibly too early to rate for me as I want to go back for dinner (will do a separate review). But I went in for breakfast today and I like it. Great environment, good menu at a reasonable price ($$). Good service, open kitchen run by the owner Chef Noel. I will be back. Recommended.

Gumbuya is second to none. This visit I had the barramundi and couldn't fault the whole dish. I don't eat fish very often but I was glad I chose to this time.
My mum had an amazing steak with the best Bernaise sauce I've ever tasted! I had to steal some of her chips to dip them in just to try it.
100% satisfied.

Awesome every time.have now tried it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I wanted barramundi last dinner visit, but it wasnt on the menu 😕but the lovely chef just whipped a barra dish up for me when i asked...My kids asked for extra (roast) veggies to take home after dinner.😃

Fantastic food, generous serves, fair prices. Open 7 days, breakfast lunch and dinner. We went lunch on Saturday, tried the specials, will be back!
