If I ever go back to Tamworth I will 100% be coming back. I don’t know if I’m just used to Sydney giving small portions but the servings here - we left with take away containers! Really good value for money. We didn’t have a booking and they still served us gracefully and quickly. Food tastes good and the bathroom sinks were very unique and went amazing with the theme. Loved the atmosphere and the music wasn’t to loud 😊

The Dragon Palace was exactly what I expected from a small country town Chinese restaurant… huge serves of delicious food and an extensive gluten-free menu. We can’t wait to come come back !

Classic Aussie Chinese with the full experience, including koi-printed carpets, Chinese carved screens, lotus-shaped light fittings and lovely cheong Sam uniforms for the staff.
This is how a Chinese restaurant should be. It's not just about the food (which was generous and reasonably priced), but the atmosphere. Congratulations, it is really great to know that this Aussie tradition is alive and well in Tamworth.

Really a great positive surprise! Many courses are better than what we have in Sydney city.
Ordered the Jade Banquet. Many courses and each course is well designed and served. Will definitely recommend and come back for it though we live 5 hours away from here!

The front desk person could be better trained how to treat customers or work at HJ's. The other staff made up for this person's bad attitude. The food was excellent and plenty of it. We struggled to finish our meals. This place is very good for the ambience and there is a bar too.

We had the best experience at Dragon Palace; we were simply fascinated at the entrance itself, though we didn’t have reservations, the staff quickly made sure we were being looked after, we got a table within a minute. The decor of this place is unbelievable, even the bathrooms and the setup is great, and impeccably clean. An absolutely warm place to dine in; our serving staff were polite, smiling and ever courteous and thoroughly professional. The food was fresh, delicious and had generous serving. Impressed with everything here; a must try if you are in Tamworth!! Special mention to our lovely ladies who served us especially Sam and Rebecca, you are an asset to your workplace.

We are travelling thru and staying at Tamworth tonight! We found Dragon Place to have dinner! The atmosphere was nice, the staff friendly, especially as were looked after by a nice young lady called Taylor, who went far and beyond in looking after us, with our beautiful meals served! We noticed Taylor is a great busy attentive worker! TY Taylor! We often travel thru and will definately come back again! Thank you to Dragon Palace!

The chef took a special request whipped up one of our favourite dishes, sweet and sour short fried soup, which was authentic and delicious. Sang Choy Bow, Mongolian combination and Black pepper chicken birds nest are always favourites. My son rates their deep fried icecream.

This has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. We were travelling through Tamworth and went here for a meal. The service was 100%. The food was 1000%. If I travel back through will definitely be back. Well done for amazing me.

Absolutely the best Chinese we have eaten. We have stayed in Tamworth several times and never miss a visit here. Friendly and happy staff, attentive, without being pushy and the food is brilliant. Huge serves and the best fried rice we have had. We just had the normal fried rice and can't imagine what extra goes into "special" fried rice as ours was jam packed with flavour. Wouldn't miss visiting here whenever we are staying in the area. Wish we lived close enough to work our way through the entire menu!

Always a great feed and friendly service. One of our favourite places for our annual mother's group dinner. Last out the door again. 👍😂

Huge servings!! We had the banquet and took away 8 containers of leftovers. We were not rushed at all by the staff. Very reasonably priced.

Outstanding service, accomodating us when full and without a booking, food was outstanding, toilets clean and tidy, helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

No offence Tamworth. I didn't expect to see such a high end restaurant in this small town. If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. The food was "Chef's kiss" the restaurant decor every bit the theme of China that I would expect it to be but the stars of the night goes also to the amazing staff and their attentive professionalism, prompt service and 💯 friendliness. The end kicker..was the warm hand towels after dinner...yessss please🙏

Fantastic meal and service. The banquet was great. We were passing through Tamworth and were here for the night. If we were locals, we would be rushing back.

A great night of feasting on the delightful dishes served up by the Dragon Palace, Entrees were superb, Mini Spring Rolls, Dim Sims & Prawn Toast all were accompanied by Sweet n Sour Sauce. This was the perfect beginning to my night.
My Main was the hot & delightful Mongolian Lamb on a sizzle plate. The Lamb was cooked to perfection, the Mongolian Sauce was plentiful.
The Special Fried Rice was amazing with generous amounts of Prawns, Chicken & Pork.
I was impressed by the quality and quantity of food served. P.S I had leftovers to take home in a container. Yum, Yum!
