The Workshop Kitchen

The steak I had was the most delicious one I've ever tasted in my life. Although we initially ordered one main dish each, we were so impressed that we decided to order an extra steak. It was a celebration for my boyfriend's birthday, and he was incredibly happy with the ambiance and the food. Not only the main course, but the appetizers and desserts were also of very high quality. The prices are on the higher side, but if you visit this restaurant, you'll find the cost justified. Everything, from the kitchen to the seating, is beautifully designed.

Great food and friendly staff. Best steak and cooked to order friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere overall is fantastic.
The smell of the food cooking fills the room and makes you even more hungry for the delicious food.

We took my mum out for lunch, as we parked a lovely girl came up to the car and advised us to use the other door because my mum needs to use her walker. From the time we pulled up to the time we let everyone was amazing. The food was and service was outstanding. Thank you for making my mums day out so special.

The workshop kitchen (in fact the whole powerhouse hotel) is beautifully decked out in a rich and glamorous style.

The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the seating arrangements are very comfortable.

The menu is best described as ‘fancy’ and would comfortably be served in any of the beautiful establishments somewhere like the Rocks in Sydney.

The food is delicious and well proportioned.

Good food, good service, nice layout, good finishes. There's a lot to like about this restaurant inside the Rydges Powerhouse. Everyone knows what to do, gets their job done and the food was very consistent. I think for flavour the peppercorn sauce was the star of the show for me, closely followed by the mash which was creamy without being too rich. Steak was well cooked and marbling felt pretty even as I worked through the steak. Very light charcoal taste from the grill, overall very good. There's a very long wine / alcohol list (25 page menu) with everything from by the glass, local varietals and standard grape varieties to $2000 a bottle special editions. Probably would like to try the duck or beef ribs next time just to see how they do it as the steak was very good.

This is an amazing regional restaurant. It's the bomb. Had a Black Angus Wagyu cross with marbling of 9 - the richest most flavourful steak I've ever eaten. Staff advised me to team it with a St Hellets Shiraz from the barossa valley - match made in heaven. Friendly, knowledgable staff - this place works hard to please

Their pizza is nice soft sour dough based pizza and cheese taste so fresh. Also I loved rib stake and portion is good as well. Floor staffs are also kind and friendly my family had nice time.

My Nephews birthday dinner was superb. Excellent service, drinks were renewed quickly and often, food = mouth watering.

We had an amazing time on Friday night celebrating my partners birthday. The service was sensational (thank you Kieran) and the food was superb. The only downfall was that we couldn’t eat more as the servings were very generous.

Great service and incredible food, I had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten here and I work in the beef industry. The chef cooked it to perfection and the sides were all delicious. Great wine list and lovely to eat locally sourced produce. I'd highly recommend and will definitely be back on my next trip to Tamworth! Thanks again!

This is one of the best restaurants our family ever ate at. We are discerning and deliberate eaters and had lunch on our way to Sydney and stopped here again for dinner 2 days later. Both times were shockingly delectable. These people know their dry aged steaks, sauces, sides…you name it. We would drive 2 1/2 hours just to eat here.

Wow, what an experience!
Let me start from when we walked through the doors. We were sat at a table in a lovely room with great atmosphere by our lovely waiter, Liz. The lighting cast out a soft warm glow.
After gazing through the menu, I ordered the cut of the day, a delightful, juicy, tender rump cap.
The rump arrived at the table, from the moment it hit the cloth, I started salivating. The smell, the presentation, a cut of paradise.
I sliced into it to be greeted by a perfect medium rare and juices bellowing out.
I took a bite and ventured into the enchanting realm of perfection. A symphony of flavours in my mouth, telling a fairytale story.
The velvety, creamy mash that accompanied this elegant cut of steak epitomised beauty and love.
After the last morsel, I was dumbfounded and awestruck at how a meal could be so delicious.

Chloe made our experience fantastic. With a real down to earth attitude and a helpful understanding it made our experience very pleasant. Food was great service and recommendations were very comprehensive and insightful. Would def recommend a visit here.

Steak cooked on fire and served by legends. Great service - super knowledgeable about the produce. We were sold the top steak and it did not disappoint.
I saw someone write that it would be worth a trip from Brisbane or Sydney - I now agree!

I've had breakfast here a couple of time since it has been refurbished. I always get the eggs Benedict, which are great. The coffee is surprisingly good too. It has a great atmosphere with a super high-end fitout and appointments. Highly recommend
