Supamart IGA Lindfield

My recent visit to Lindfield Village IGA was unfortunately marred by an unpleasant encounter with one of the checkout staff. I always shop at Supa IGA Cremorne which is really pleasant. I recently moved East Lindfield and I was looking forward to exploring the store and was seeking information about a product when I approached the checkout. However, the response I received from the Asian checkout lady (manager maybe) was unexpectedly rude and dismissive. It was disheartening to be met with such discourtesy when I simply sought assistance regarding a purchase I intended to make. She clearly mentioned on her own accent " I don't have time for this, if you need it go to other shop" straight to my face showing an angry face. I pay for my stuffs, I didn't come there to beg and ask it for free. She made me feel like it.

Customer service is a pivotal aspect of any establishment, and the interaction left a sour impression on what could have been an enjoyable shopping experience. It's disheartening that a single encounter can significantly impact a customer's willingness to return. I understand that everyone has their moments, but basic courtesy and assistance shouldn't be compromised in a service-oriented environment.

I sincerely hope that the management takes note of such instances and considers providing additional training or guidance to ensure that every customer receives the respect and assistance they deserve. I truly wanted to embrace Lindfield Village IGA as my new shopping destination, but regrettably, this encounter has deterred me from revisiting. I believe in supporting local businesses, and it's unfortunate when such incidents detract from the overall experience.

I encourage the management to address such lapses in customer service to maintain the reputation and integrity of the store. My hope is that this feedback contributes to a more welcoming and customer-focused environment for all patrons who visit.
I've opted to leave a 5-star review instead of 1 as I don't want the owners to bear the consequences of the actions of certain staff members.

Excellent supermarket with a huge selection of products including very nice more expensive quality if you prefer. Great specials also. Well worth checking out.

Open till late plenty of choice. It doesn’t have everything but still a good spot to swing buy and not too pricey. Parking downstairs too.

Easy to park and good variety of fresh food. Quick easy to pick ready made dinners, grilled chickens, bakery, deli, and fresh fish.

A great local supermarket with all the essentials, plus some of my favourite treats 😁 and cheaper than the more upmarket option Next Door.

Staff are polite & helpful. Busy today for that time of a day on a Friday. Great 2 B able 2 park underground FREE for 2hrs & come up to the store via a lift or escalators. Toilets on hand too. All under cover. A trouble free experience on a cold wet day😉

Store always clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Great ham available at the deli.

A wonderful selection of groceries for your everyday grocery shopping. I cannot believe how neat and tidy the shelves always are, even on new years eve where it was busy. The facing up team and night fill are doing a great job. I have made the switch to shop at IGA more often, as I prefer to support them over Coles & Woolworths. This IGA makes it well worth it every trip!

A wonderful IGA stocking just about all you need. Terrific friendly service from all staff it’s a credit to the management here. Only downside (and not necessarily IGA’s fault) but the carpark exit requires a ticket to be inserted into a machine which because of the carpark design is at the most awkward angle. For the elderly it must be near impossible. Wish they’d either relocate the ticket machine or install a ticketless boomgate system.

I really like this store. It is laid oit nicely and has great variety. Easy to park. Very clean. I often find something special here

There was always one thing I had to go to Coles for because Supermart didn't carry it (Bickford's Iced Coffee Syrup). So one day I asked one of the guys there if they could possibly get it in. He said they'd look into it which didn't fill me with hope but now they are stocking it! So I don't need to go to Coles for anything. Big thanks to Supermart!

Deli has a great selection. Groceries include lots of English and South African goods.

I love the new IGA at Lindfield ! The Deli is a feature with lots deli meats a sumptuous choice of cheeses and wonderful artichokes and olives. The best part is the in house baked European style rye breads including a tasty Dark German Rye with Carraway seeds as well as the usual baguettes and other white bread varieties.
The fruit and vegetables are good quality well chosen items with better quality grapes, like muscatels and 3 types of plums, the nectarines were sweet and the petite green beans sweet and crunchy when cooked.
There is good quality butchery fridge with beef tasty rump steaks chicken Maryland cuts amongst others.
There is Kosher groceries section pickles, Gefilte Fish in jars plus kosher chociess and snacks, noodles even Bar Mitzvah /Bat Mitzvah cards and printed napkins for celebration meals.
Of course there are all the standard groceries a health care aisle. Worth a look it is clean and new and well set out the lighting is gentle which makes shopping relaxed and nice service from the deli guy to the cash register on the way. Bring your bags of course or buy re-useable IGA bags.
I think this is a great community resource and found the shop well set out and clearly signposted.

Might cost you a few more $$ than Coles and Woolworths - but it's worth it. Just park outside and hop into their huge selection. No fighting your way into (and out off) a monstrous Westfield. Great range. Best kept secret on the Nth Side.

Being a visitor from Toowoomba I must say how impressed I was with this supermarket, the range of products the cleanliness,well stocked shelves and the great service from the staff.The fruit and veg extremely fresh and big shout out to IGA bread.🍌🥝🥑🍏🍐🍇🍑🌽🥦🥕🍞

It's very easy and enjoyable to shop here. A very good selection of speciality foods as well. Parking is a breeze.

Love this place. Friendly staff, good deals, fresh produce. My go to place on the way home from work. Handy location.

This is the only supermarket that consistently stocks the only toilet paper that doesn't clog my septic systems, even in the current shortages.
