I was hesitant to buy the only pie in the refrigerator…sitting alone in solitary…15cm away from the next solitary block of butter…which sat solitary, 15cm away from the next item…and was weirded out by the “we have only one item of a few things in stock” marketing strategy…but after checking the use by date…figured the pie must be ok as it had months left on it. I paid my $5 for it and I walked the 3 minute journey home and put it straight in the microwave for the recommended time. It smelled awful; honestly like cooking decomposed rotting meat. Then, I opened the packet to find THIS.
Now…as a food science teacher, I can tell you that this food item has NOT met the NSW Health and Food Safety Standards (FSANZA) for refrigeration to maintain food below 5 degrees.
I’ve written to Mrs Mac’s and now I’m writing here. Please review your food safety standards right across your food chain line as this could’ve ended poorly.

Just left this shop with a friend that purchased an illegal vape for $50 that is a $20 vape less than 10 kilometres away.
Absolutely putrid, selling illegal products and ripping your customers off in the process.
