I had a last minute order for a baby gender reveal cake, and I was honestly blown away by how beautifully it turned out. The sponge cake was delicious and light and was made with fresh cream. I will definitely be back! The staff were so friendly and helpful to order with. Cutting into the cake to find out our baby’s gender was so much fun…and yummy!

Wanted a simple, not too sweet cake for my sons 1st birthday. After calling a few places I tried The Ginger Jar. I explained that my baby doesn't really like cake and the only cake he eats is a “sugarless” banana muffin that I make at home (only using bananas for flavour). The chef suggested a hummingbird cake and said he could make it not too sweet, and use fresh cream rather than icing.
Well the cake was a hit. My son loved it and the the rest of the family said it was one of the nicest cakes they’d ever had. Not too sweet or heavy.

Absolutely lovely establishment. I came just before close and the staff were still incredibly nice and caring. The pastry was exactly what I was looking for as well. Would recommend to anyone in Nowra!

I bought a coffee in every other cafe in this town & had given up, Then I seen this little gem of a cafe tucked away & gave Nowra one last shot to redeem it had a half decent coffee shop going for itself...
Well I was not disappointed!!
Seriously in every way from the coffee brew, Selection of delicacies of yumminesss to the customer service.
I can not fault this place! These Guys are Amazing friendly & genuine.
Such a blessing & pleasant experience everytime.

If your in Nowra, and hungry, you must go to The Ginger Jar Bakehouse. The best pies we have had in a long time. The Thai Chicken curry pie was delicious and the Pepper Steak pie was full of big chunks of meat. Also the coffee was the bomb.

Wow....I got a chocolate mud cake for my sons 40TH birthday it was amazing....It looked beautiful and tasted even better....The staff were so helpful and friendly....In all a great experience....I would recommend them thoroughly....

Just had a Cajun pulled pork pie. I was recommended to try and thank crikey i did. Absolutely delicious. Not too spicy, great gravy and sweet tender pulled pork. I'll be back tomorrow for another one. Yummo

This cafe is truly a hidden gem conveniently located next to Woolie’s with convenient car park. French pastries, pies and a good range of sweets. Friendly owner and barista makes really good coffee.

If you got a sweet tooth than your love their doughnuts especially the filled ones Custard , Jam and Nutella are your options but man I’ll Tell ya custard and Nutella are definitely up there but jam is definitely worth a go as well Highly recommend Dwayne and David you boys are legends 🤘.
