Mostly natural bushland with dedicated zones for Plant Collections of native and/or non-native species.
It's a credit to all the volunteers for what they have created.
More funding from local council (and sponsors) would greatly assist this tourist destination.

This was a lovely stopover for lunch whilst travelling.
We didn't get to explore all the Gardens had to offer, but enjoyed what we saw.
Plenty of sunny spots for a picnic.
Kiosk and gift shop and plant nursery where we purchased a couple of plants. Very enjoyable.
$5 entry per person.

A wonderful place to visit with friends or family. So much to see, so many varieties of plantings, ferneries, cacti display, alongside a wetlands walk, Cafe, covered outdoor play area. Well worth visit. We have been twice this week and saw much more this visit.
Don't forget to wander amongst the local sculpture walk. 🙂🙂🙂

I thought about 10 or 20 minutes, but it was almost a two-hour journey. I think there's definitely our mistake.I walked with peace of mind at the sound of cars in the distance. We wandered a lot and crawled all the way to the front row, but we enjoyed exploring.I think I'll visit again next time. It wasn't a garden, it was a forest.

This is one of the best gardens I've visited, and run by volunteers! It exceeded our expectations. Expect to spend a couple of hours at least, and take your camera and comfy walking shoes.

We came for a coffee and stayed for a walk. We lost almost an hour just wandering and could have stayed much longer. Beautiful!

A lovely Botanical Gardens. I found the Aboriginal section very interesting. Loved the orchids and unusual plants. Paths easy to get around and paper map very useful. The new fernery was great especially today in the heat with the light spray.

🌱🍄I was sceptical that a visit in winter would offer much to see but I couldn't have been more wrong! My expected one hour visit became a delightful 5 hour visit & I still didn't see all of the gardens! Apart from the tranquility of a winter visit, there were no pesky mosquitoes either ✔😉

The place is really well maintained, organised and rich mostly kept by volunteers.

The orchidariun is specially gorgeous at this time of the year.

Fantastic day, we spent hours wandering around. It was only $5 for the family and we saw so many amazing themed gardens from cacti and succulents to ferns, bromiliads and orchids. We also saw two goannas! We went on the plant sale day and the plants were very cheap and of great quality with lots of variety. Would definitely recommend attending these gardens, especially if you are a plant lover or have kids.

As a volunteer at the garden I can't tell how much of a joy it is to come here each week. Every week there is something new to see, the glorious cactus flowers, the marvellous euphorbias and my all time favourite, the Starburst Aeonium growing in pride of place. And of course there are the wonderful friendships that you make. Thats just the succulent and cactus, there is so much more.

I organized a Christmas function at this venue - I was looking for something special but within my budget. Well oh my did I find the biggest hidden jewel of this region.

From the first phone to actually meeting the Event Co-ordinator Monique everything was friendly and professional at the same time .

This function was undercover with an outlook of the flora and fauna wow - Now lets talk about the gem - The whole of these gardens are run by 98% volunteers and straight away when getting out of your vehicle you appreciate the love and care of these gardens. The peace the tranquillity hits you like a bomb (good one)

As I said it was a Christmas function - A volunteer made a Christmas tree from wood to that unnamed volunteer thank you for the lovely thought and gift for future functions. The table was Themes "Christmas in the Bush" - so fitting for where we were.

Now the Food - remember these people are volunteers and everything was totally home made and I believe they would have worked so long hours to make this so special - Brings back memories of eating sandwich's which your mum would have made plus other homemade delights.

There was no Hussle Bussle with staff and or waiters hanging around the food was self served - coffee was a never ending cup if you wanted.

So for any type of group looking for peace where you can just be you, then consider this Jewel I personally booking this function room again.

From my heart to all the Volunteers - Clarissa and Monique thank you for making my Christmas function so special.

I have not been asked nor have I been paid to write this review I just want this precious jewel to be more appreciated .

Great day out, checking out plants with the Goose kids we work with. The Cactus and succulents they have there are quiet extensive and it's a really good place to see plants you would not normally see. Highly recommend this place. Only draw back are the mosquitos the size of horses, however they do provide spray at the place for them. It's got well established paths that Wheelchairs can access no worries at all.

Terrific variety of flora (and fauna) in an easily accessible venue with great staff. Highly recommend taking the strongest mosquito repellant you can find, as they're persistent critters!!

This huge botanical garden exceeded my expectations. There is a nice shady picnic area, cafe, gift shop and wonderful areas of plantings plus wetlands and forests.
Highly recommended for plant and bird lovers. I walked in a clockwise direction and it took me a couple of hours. The paths are interconnected so you could make it a shorter trip.
I saw fabulous native plant family sections, bushtucker forest, rainforest, sculptures, wetland viewing platforms, fountains, and a grassed area for kids to play.
$5 single entry. Mozzies.
