You can enjoy some time here to play sports and take a walk in this fairly large botanical garden.

Great spot for our young children to burn off some energy after a long drive. Plenty of car spaces, shaded areas, table & chairs with bbq area, big playground, clean toilets and so much wildlife to see.

One of my favourite places to visit when I’m in Emerald. I love walking around and it has so much to see. The concrete footpaths are good for skaters and bicycle riders etc.

A restful well kept park in the middle of town. The kids love the playground next to the parking space

This is a nice place for a walk and stretch while driving the long distances between towns along this highway. The Park stretches along the river and continues on the other side of it as well. There's BBQ areas and playgrounds for the kids too. We'll with making a stop.

Very impressed by this beautiful park and well-equipped playground. My boys ages five and two both had fun with some really different equipment that we hadn't come across before. There is something for all ages from toddlers through to exercise equipment for adults.

Beautiful place to take dog for a walk. Different tracks to choose from if you want to avoid other dogs.

Huge, beautiful park with walkways/jogging path, playgrounds, exercise equipment, picnic tables, water taps and toilets. Great spot for a picnic beside the Nogoa River. Park is well maintained and suitable for prams/wheelchairs. We've seen ducks, kookaburras, cockatoos, and kangaroos here!

For a country town it is really amazing how good this park is. So well looked after and such wonderful plants and trees. Lots of benches and the concrete path makes walking so easy.

Emerald is ten kilometres shy of the Tropic of Capricorn, so if you’re from a more temperate part of the world it’s well worth seeing the kinds of plants and trees at home at this latitude.

Emerald Botanic Gardens were refreshed with new landscaping and infrastructure in 2017 and give you a superb, labelled overview of the various biomes around the Central Highlands region.

There are 12 different themed plant communities in all, as well as a preserved historic windmill and various works of public art.

You can amble through these 42 acres on gravel and poured concrete paths, and pause by the Nogoa River, which courses through the park.

On top of all that there’s exercise equipment, BBQs and a free camping area near the entrance.
