Star Anise Belmont

The staff were very friendly, we really enjoyed our food corn pancakes and scrambled eggs with mushrooms. On the way out we bought their homemade Portuguese tart and lemon curd muffin, very fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back.

We, (20 of us) just had a lovely breakfast! All the food was delicious and was presented well. The staff were absolutely wonderful, very attentive & managed our group well.

Amazing! Had a vegetarian tart. The flavours were divine. Friend had a lamb souvlaki wrap, which she loved as well.

Great place on holidays from Brisbane, barista on point , the service we received was so good I thought it was the owner until I asked, just an idea, I would have an all day breakfast menu it pays off, owning cafes in the past… well done guys ✌✌✌✌

My husband and I went to star anis for our date night and the food was amazing, tasty and not overpriced !
The waiter was knowledgeable regarding pairing wine with meals, also he was nice and professional.
I didn't know we had this great restaurant so close to home !!

Our family just enjoyed a beautifully presented and delicious selection of breakfasts and beverages. Very pleasant staff and outlook over Lake Macquarie. Will definitely be back for breakfast and dinner in the future. Well done to the team at Star Anise. 🌟

I love going to this place the people are so nice, and welcoming, the food is great. Being able to choose sitting inside or outside is another bonus.

We all really enjoyed our meals for lunch.great variety of meals to select from and great coffee. Lovely views, and excellent service. So nice to have a cafe/restaurant of this quality in Belmont! We will return 😊

I have returned to Star Anise for lunch after the pandemic and I could not have chosen a better place to spend my day off.
Wonderful service and calming atmosphere.
I ordered the fish and chips and as always Star Anise did not disappoint. Chips are cooked to perfection, slightly crispy and seasoned well. The fish was divine - succulent, fresh and tasted like real seafood. I give Star Anise my business and recommend you do the same.

We had a delightful lunch today. The varied menu was such a welcome relief from the sameness that seems to have crept into the menus in a lot of cafes/ restaurants of late. I enjoyed a delicious seafood risotto and my companion enjoyed the baby barramundi fillets. The Tempus Two Chardonnay was a delicious accompaniment. The service was prompt, friendly and courteous. We will be back, as it's the first time we've really enjoyed the lunch, as much as the company, on one of our regular outings.

Attended my daughter’s baby shower yesterday, I was beyond impressed with the service Sarah and Robyn had provided. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating to all of our guests, from start to finish. The food was amazing too!

Absolutely amazing food we went there for our anniversary. The crispy gnocchi and scallops are absolutely delicious. We love going here highly recommend!

Beautiful restaurant my husband and I celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary with my Son and we order seafoods banquet for two person that was beautiful hi recommended.

Went for breakfast on the recommendation of friends while visiting from Qld. So glad we did. Buttermilk pancakes are to die for and breakfast wrap couldn’t be faulted. Great view and our waitress Sarah was so friendly, attentive and went the extra mile to be helpful. Such a delight. Coffee was excellent too. Will be back to try lunch or dinner before we leave.

Friendly service, great staff and good meals and coffee. Generous size servings and everything we ordered tasted great. My daughter particularly liked the pancakes. Also a nice location overlooking the water. Highly recommended!
