My name is Aaron Mikheal, I'm the longest tenant at this Unilodge, moving in when it was built. The staff have all been super helpful and understanding towards issues I've had. While it hasn't always been perfect and I had to fight for things there was never a feeling that they wanted to make me unwelcome. During the Covid era they lowered rates and allowed me to survive and live where I might otherwise have been forced to move out at the time. Unfortunately I will be moving out the following year due to the rate raises and I'll be unable to afford to live here.

1. The rooms still have insufficient cooling. While Unilodge has made changes in recent years to allow tenants to purchase and install air conditioning, for the longest time I had to fight for that right. This made summers unbearably hot. For the price being asked for a Studio (409 dollars a month with the current deal ongoing) I would expect air conditioning
2. There is a slowness in maintenance, I remember an elevator being out for almost a year, problems can be reported and need to be re-reported due to being lost in the shuffle.
3. The laundry rooms do not come with a way to exchange for coins, meaning you need to find somewhere else to get the currency to actually do your laundry. Other locations have installed card-operated laundry machines, this really stuck out to me.
4. The internet can be quite spotty, and cause a lot of issues too.

To the staff at Unilodge: Thank you for these amazing years. I moved in during 2016, from now to 2023 there have been ups, downs and all arounds but I never felt a hint of malice or a lack of care. To Sheetu Suri especially, you've always answered my emails promptly, you always were understanding of the hardships I faced, you always had my back when times were rough. Thank you especially for always being a wonderful person.

EDIT: I managed to work out a deal with Unilodge allowing me to continue my tenancy into 2024

Unilogde Victoria is the best place for international students to begin their journey in Melbourne. The location is perfect it not too far from the city and public transport is also easily accessible. The building is well maintained in every sense, it's safe and clean.
They have lot of activities which will keep you engaged, entertained and motivated. The building's staff is super helpful especially Sheetu Suri she is manager there, she is simply awesome and friendly. Sheet always comes up with the Best solutions and advice. I will miss My first home in Melbourne.

Great place for students to reside at. So many fun activities and things to do and is convenient to travel to city in 30 mins and also have the VU gym benefits. Highly recommended. 🙌

It's quite a comfortable and convenient place to live in, equipped with basic living essentials, helpful staff and engaging activities that will make your stay memorable.

The accommodations are good, though nothing worth writing about. The residential manager Sheetu is, She goes out of her way to help the residents, even in capacities not required of her role. Unilodge benefits much from her and I’m glad to of lived under her hospitality.

I love the community environment and the fact that it’s secure and very convenient for University. It’s also a great place to meet new people and make friends. Love the staff!

The events are fun and good for socialising.

Been a resident here for 3 years and I just love everything about the place. The half basketball court, common area with the pool table, kitchen, cinema room, study rooms, outdoor spaces and the furnished apartments are just amazing. Furthermore, the staff at Unilodge are so friendly, and kind and always make sure that everyone is safe and enjoys their stay here.
I came here as an international student back in 2019 and apart from missing home, I have met friends from all over the world here and had one of the best experiences in my life here at Unilodge. So proud to call this place one of my homes away from home.

A great place for all students- a home away from home. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff is really helpful. I love the Community Spirit Program which invited student participation and helped me collaborate and connect with students and staff from different cultures!

I've been living here for a year and a half now. The thing I like the most about this place is that they take mental health very seriously and regularly check with their residents. The staff were very supportive and helpful during the pandemic. Amazing place to live !!!

A place with very friendly atmosphere and convenience. Made life so much easier during the pandemic. Love the latest green initiatives and the variety of community spirit programs that cater to the taste of everyone.

A reasonable price and secure accommodation when booking oversea, facilities are good and have many free events and social activities.

Its been more than a Year in Melbourne as well as in Unilodge @ VU and I have never shifted to other places. Reason being the facilities provided on cheaper rates. For international students, bearing expenses of rent is really tough. I am paying the same amount what my other friends are paying and the best part is the events which occurs every week, you will get lots of friends to interact and network with.

Very friendly atmosphere for students with great support from the staff! Makes sure that the stay here is comfortable with good attention given to cleanliness. Would definitely recommend :)

The six bedrooms are a great way to make friends and have really awesome facilities like the kitchen!! Also the staff are really friendly and helpful. Big thumbs up!!

Have been a UnilodgeVU Resident since a long time now and can say it is the best place for a student to reside, not only because they provide you with an excellent service and place to stay but also they support and take care of you like a family. I highly recommend staying at UnilodgeVU!
