The dyeing team have been wonderful to deal with consistently. They’re able to match to any colour I’ve asked them to and it’s always great quality. Even after 40 years in the business, you can tell that everyone is passionate about what they do.
We will continue to use in the future. Highly recommended.

All the negative reviews are fake reviews. Seems like competitors are getting sour due to being unsuccessful in their life.

I have been getting clothes dyed at Spectrum Dyers for the past 10 years. They have been fantastic, timely and professional. Mohammed and his hardworking staff are just phenomenal. Going above and beyond!

Highly recommend them if you are after quality service. After all they are one of the oldest dyeing services in all of Sydney.

I ruined a good heavy weight cotton cardigan of my husband's by soaking it, so it looked tie-dyed. I took it to Spectrum Dyers who had to strip the colour, then re-dye AND IT LOOKS PERFECT AGAIN. My husband is so happy. Quick too.

I asked Spectrum to colour match a white skirt, to a piece of citrine lace the same colour as the blouse .. It is fabulous it is actually a wonderful match and all so perfectly even that one would never know it had been dyed to match Thanks to Spectrum.

My Father, whom started this business, and was one of the best textile chemists in Australia, has sadly passed away in January of 2023. This company is now run by his ex wife, whom knows nothing about running a business, let alone dyeing substrates, i, myself was a professional dyer, and encourage you to get your valuable fabrics dyed elsewhere.

Appalling business. Mohammad was impossible to deal with right from the start. Impossible to have clear communication about the technique they were going to use or what the result would be. We eventually decided to proceed with a sample. The sample came back unfinished (even though it was $275). We asked him to complete the sample with all three colours, not just one, and instead he went ahead with the whole job and dyed the entire massive expanse of fabric without asking me. When we went to see what had happened, it was nothing like the sample or the meticulous drawings our designer had done anyway. He left and we took it away and got ambushed on the way out by his coworker, trying to wrestle it from us. Then he called the police. Completely bonkers, disgusting business management. Very disappointed and quite frankly, shocked. Would leave no stars if possible.

I was quoted $12-18 per garment and then was charged $29 each to be dyed - plus couriers fees from Perth to Sydney return. 30 bath robes in total. Mohammed wouldn't drive them 1km to my courier saying "we never pick up or deliver" The colour has run out of the garment all over everything else in my wash. I cannot sell these. The indigo robe he dyed was washed with a white one. When I called hi he said to wash them with salt or send them back to Sydney and he will fix but is not prepared to reimburse me for freight. He then hung up on me. Nothing short of a dismal experience and not acceptable in Australia.

So unprofessional.
I arrived to see that fabric gets hung outside out the front of the shop so anyone walking by could steal the fabric while no one is looking. When I asked the first person I saw if they were the boss, they just pointed to the office as an answer. What made me even more nervous was the state of the office - papers and stuff everywhere, screaming with disorganisation. The boss (Mohammed) greeted me in a manner which lacked sincerity. Because I was nervous for reasons above, and that my fabric was worth $400, I was asking a bunch of questions - was he sure my fabric was made of polyester because I didn't know, will it match the tie I brought in exactly etc. He thought it was amuzing that I was so nervous and also told me I paid too much for my, what he judged to be cheap lace - so unnecessary. He wrote everything I wanted on a piece of paper and stuck the tracking ID on there too. When I asked for a receipt, he told me to just take a photo of his handwriting. I had to ask for stamps and signatures to try and make everything more legitimate.
What attracted me to this business was straight forward lower pricing compared to one other competitor who made the pricing quite complicated. Now I wish I paid the extra.
My lace arrived in the post in a timely manner, the colour is good.
However now no one will dry clean my wedding dress because they don't know how the fabric was dyed, and it can run on the rest of my dress. Didn't realise it is the dyers responsibility to provide care instructions. On the phone to dry cleaner, Mohammed was difficult, doesn't remember how it was dyed, and has ignored my emails. I specifically designed my dress to be able to wear it again - now I'm stuck with a dirty wedding dress :,(

Zero Stars!!! These guys are fraudulent business operators. The owner, I think his name is Mohamad, added an extra $200 to re-dye a fabric they incorrectly dyed. Despite having a message and phone trail, he denies getting instructions. We even showed him screenshots and he still denied it. They just wanted to charge extra. He is a liar and a fraud. I would recommend against doing any business with Spectrum Dyers.

I paid $275 for 5 pairs of jeans to be dyed black. The shrinkage made the jeans unwearable and they were so brittle - the inner leg seam cut my leg. The dying was good - but be careful with doing this for personal use. It wasn't worth it.

Terrible businessman. Mohammed did not think to mention that there is 20% shrinkage when dying, that his staff would cut my material at inconstant lengths. Leaving me 40% short of product and refusing to assist unless paying again and purchasing new 40% more product. NEVER USE THEM

Mohammed seems like a dodgy conman. Changed prices on me after the work was done. Unprofessional and a little rude.
