Central Queensland Highlands Visitor Information Centre

Very great visitor centre that provides not only local information but also info on surrounding regions hundreds of kms away. So helpful to plan your trip through Queensland. Many info centres I've visited in the past have only info on their own region and limited info on areas 50kms each direction.

At Emerald's centre you can pretty much plan your Queensland trip. Well organised.

Carol, who volunteers there is an absolute sweetheart and so knowledgeable.

Good call in spot to check out what to do and see in the region.

A heap of brochures for all over Qld .

5 star because of the local knowledge of the lady who was working there. She was able to answer a question for me of a local landmark from 40 years ago. And this is a wonderful tourist information centre. Very good display and space. Did not have a stuffy feeling like a lot of information centres. Very clean.

Great to visit the history of the Pioneer Village here.

Very helpful local staff.
Loads of information for the entire area and for attractions down south of Emerald, as well as for everything West of here.
Can find out how to go about fossicking in the Gemfields, accommodation out there and places to visit during your stay in the Emerald area.

Probably one of the best staffed info centres we have been in for a while. Always great to speak to someone who knows their region well enough, or has the confidence to talk up their region. We went looking for recommendations and advice and we got bucketloads of both. Congrats Emerald, you have a few awesome ambassadors.
