Shelley is doing a great job here. The rooms are lovely. Furnishings are so nice. Having the water at your back door is amazing.

The grounds are wonderfully maintained.
Shelley was very helpful and kindly helped me with various things.
We have loved our stay here and our only disappointment is we can’t stay longer!!

For the price and location, this is excellent . Really can’t go wrong. Comfortable bed, self catering facilities, nice view out the back. Very pleased to have found this spot

After driving past Pelican Sands many times over the years and not thinking much of the place from the outside.. I decided as a last min thing to give it a stay.
My call to book was very pleasantly answered by a lovely lady called Shelly.
Shelly was extremely accommodating and the booking was seamless!
I stayed in the spa room which on the inside was jaw dropping gorgeous with a stunning water view and private deck. The bed was super comfy and Sally went next level with adding bath salts and a candle as an extra spesh touch which is unheard of anywhere else I’ve stayed with a spa! Definitely a case of looks can be deceiving! This will be my number one place to stay when I return to Scamander!!!! And next time I’ll hopefully get the opportunity to personally meet the warm and welcoming Shelly and let her know what a gem of a place Pelican Sands is!

and clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. The host even gave us a bucket to wash our toddler in. Was so thoughtful. Would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely stunning location right on the water. We could open the sliding doors and let the kids play on the grass and run right down to the river mouth as we relaxed with a wine! They were amazed we even spotted a pelican! Tidy little unit with everything we needed for a family of 4.

The accommodation here is amazing! Very reasonable price for the ocean views, clean rooms, smart TV, large shower with plenty of pressure, mini bar has the works! The plants are amazing and some are even for sale!
Shelly done an amazing job and was very polite!

Pelican Sands went above and beyond with a request for a surprise birthday hamper for my GF in the room for when we arrived. Upon arrival, we saw the usual old, tired motel but when we entered our spa room accommodation, WOW! so modernised, accessorised, catered and the view was amazing. For the very-reasonable price, it was certainly one of the best I've stayed at. Pity it was for only 1 night in the middle of winter, but we'll definitely be back for longer.

My family and I have stayed at Pelican Sands Scamander twice now and love the beach setting. We have stayed in the family room and found it very comfortable and it had a welcoming vibe, no doubt attributed by the coastal decor that I'm quite partial to. We were supplied games for the kids, especially appreciated as the weather wasn't in our favour, and free use of the complimentary kayaks and life jackets for use in the protected waters right out the front door. The owners are super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The unit was very clean and the beds fresh and comfortable. Definitely going back and would happily recommend.

The service was wonderful even got a free upgrade to a spa room they really looked after us the room was lovely and clean and modern. In a great location right near the beach with a beautiful view could hear the waves overnight was just what we needed for some much needed relaxation and time out. We will definitely be back thanks again!

Great location and outlook with direct beach access. Very family friendly but would also suit couples. A tasteful renovation of good size units, with lots of thoughtful touches. Easy self check-in, great service. Take me back!!

Stayed for two nights, would definitely return and recommend Pelican Sands to anybody. Shelley is a wonderful host, very friendly and makes sure your stay is as good as it can possibly be. The rooms are lovely, recently updated with a fresh and very cosy feel, seriously comfy big bed and pillows, comfortable lounge to relax on, dining table and chairs, kitchenette with all you could need and a large tv on a swivel so it can be seen from all corners of the room as well as a big bathroom and large walk in shower with a rainfall shower head. Large veranda and grassed area and with a view from your room out to Scamander river and the ocean, you can hear the waves hitting the beach and the sunrise is something to be seen, just open your curtains and there it is! Also, Fearless Freddy cafe is part of the property, i had dinner there both nights and the food was delicious so you don't even have to leave the hotel to hunt for good food. The location is also a great base to explore the surrounding areas like the Bay Of Fires and Binalong Bay to the north and Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park to the south all within an easy short drive away.

Amazing location, best view! Comfiest bed. Very convenient self check in and out. Owner left me a birthday card and arranged our dinner booking. Will be returning.

Nice clean room, easy checkin, self contained, free use of washing machine, but best of all is the fantastic view from our room.
