Bastion Cascades

INSTRUCTIONS:
park at the quarry, where the 2 big rocks impede to proceed by car. Keep walking until the end of the road. First you'll see a sign that points at the circuit path, if you keep walking a few metres you'll see a sign pointing at the bastion cascades track. The sign says 4 hr return, but we did it in 3 hr with our daughter, so I guess it would be 2 hr return for an adult alone.
The path has been overgrown by ferns (on the left of the photo) just look carefully and you'll find it. Then just follow ribbons and arrows.

The waterfall is absolutely beautiful as the beautiful rainforest walk. As you get closer to the waterfall it gets better and better, but also harder and slippery, a few climbing spots and a rope to help not far from the waterfall. It definitely worth the effort!
We haven't seen any snake, but a got a few leeches.

Hidden Gem! Only first heard of this place last year and was truly impressed with the wild beauty of Bastion Cascades. The walk upto Stone Hut and surrounding cliffs is steep though extremely rewarding, some areas are astonishingly impressive with huge stone walls and overhangs over overhangs. The track is marked though care is needed and wandering off track is easy at times. Very enjoyable location.
