Essendon Historical Society

Beauty historical part of Melbourne. It's ashame the fire destroyed such a historical place. Bit funny thou the police station next door were all for knocking it door to build a car park all of a sudden the following few months the fire occurs? Either way such a shame to lose such a historical piece of Australian, Melbourne history.

Incredible old building with heaps of historical significance. The fire which ripped through this building has caused the Historical Society to rally the Victorian Government in assisting with the buildings renovation, restoring it to its former glory.

The building is obviously not used for court hearings anymore as the more recently built court house in Kellaway Avenue serves this purpose.

The Historical Court House position is prime position on the corner of Mt.Alexander Road and Kellaway Avenue adjacent to Queens Park.

Building beautifully restored after the fire. Not a lot to see but worth a quick visit if you are at all interested in Essendons history
