There was a staff member by the name of Bridget in the emergency waiting room, she was so lovely and accommodating to all patients. Constantly providing updates to everyone in the waiting room, constantly asking if everyone was okay, constantly asking if patients wanted a drink and she even went to the next level to get a pillow for a patient next to me. I have never experienced this whilst sitting and waiting in emergency. Honestly we need more passionate workers like her! Absolutely lovely she was!
And the doctors were so thorough with their examination! Such a good experience and got the best patient care!

Had such a wonderful experience on Level 5. The surgical team and nurses (esp Peter) were absolutely amazing and the manager Rhea was fantastic. So patient and supportive the whole stay. We too were skeptical after the reviews but it was amazing.

Thankyou to the ICU nurses, treating teams (including surgical) & social work, who provided my grandad and our family with a level of care we didnt know existed. They went above and beyond, they were all so patient, empathetic, professional and transparent with us.
Although we had to say goodbye to our grandad, we will always remember the good experience we had with this hospital.

Got through admissions fairly quickly. Up to Day only ward. Admitted, changed, and off to theatres. Greeted by the Drs, anaesthetist was very nice.
Put a cannula in no pain at all, a little Propafol and last thing I remember. Woke up, taken back to DOSAC, and a few hours later, cannula out discharged went back home. Everyone was really nice, whole experience was great. Prognosis was great. Dr rang me in the evening and explained things to me. Answered my questions as I was a bit concerned. Reassured me that everything was fine have a follow up in 5 yrs time. Will wait to hear about biopsy results in due course. It's a good hospital with excellent staff and really good, well designed operating theatres. Much better than they were 20 yrs ago. I feel like a VIP patient from everyone. Yes I will go there again if needed. Without hesitation.

This review is for Neurology North on Level 5 of the hospital.
I was admitted here on Friday afternoon for a lumbar puncture as a last minute add on patient. Procedure was deferred to Saturday morning. So I ended up staying the night. Upon arrival to the neurology ward the staff were so welcoming, bubbly, happy and very attentive.
They escorted me to my room and immediately made me feel comfortable.
Nurses honestly do not get enough credit. I have never seen such a warm, compassionate, friendly, and genuine bunch of nurses in my life. The level of care they provide is next to none and no job is too difficult for them.
Saturday morning I was spoken to by a wonderful Neurologist Dr Hurelbrink and her registrar who had to do a few tests on me before my lumbar puncture. The lumbar puncture was performed by Dr Kennith who made me feel very comfortable and safe in his hands. The procedure went well and I was discharged from hospital a couple hours later.
My experience here was excellent and i thank all the admin staff, nurses and doctors who were involved in my care.

This review is for the nurse, Bingbing. He was very compassionate and was willing to take time out of his busy schedule to translate some things between my unwell grandma and me. Despite how strained the hospital’s resources are, I could tell that they were definitely doing their best to accomodate every patient. I feel comfortable knowing that my grandma is in good hands.

This review is for Dr Cameron Korb-Wells, his geriatric team at Concord Hospital, and all the nurses at the Acute Aged Health Ward 2A.

My father was admitted to ward 2A on 30 Oct and passed away on 8 Nov. Dr Korb-Wells and his team of doctors showed a lot of care and professionalism during my father's last days despite the difficult situation we were experiencing. Dr Korb-Wells allowed dad to stay in a very nice and private single room until he passed, making it as comfortable as it could be for him, and for this we are forever grateful.

All the nurses at ward 2A also deserve a lot of credit - they were very friendly and compassionate - easily the best nurses we have interacted with ever.

The other specialists that visited including speech therapist when my dad had difficulty swallowing, and the palliative doctors were also extremely helpful.

My family have always had fantastic service at Concord Hospital over the past 40 years, particularly with planned procedures. The long emergency ward waiting times are an exception, but I understand the reasons for this. The staff are excellent.

Really didn’t and couldn’t understand the bad wrap CRGH received on the news the other evening in regards to Staff training or lack of due to Staff shortages (pretty sure that would be most Hospitals ?

But getting back to the main question: Aged Care Facility within the confines of the
(Rusty Priest Building - Level 2)

There seems to be a pretty good mix of Casual and Full-time staff and as always the Nurses have genuine personalities and that can be seen by the way they treat and talk to the patience and their families also.

Watching them do their thing is amazing to watch and as to also with the dignity and respect they treated my darling step-mother who has unfortunately now passed over.

So please everyone you seriously have to remember to treat the Nursing, Care-Teams and all Hospital Staff respectfully they are humans also that also go home to someone or family

Concord Repatriation Hospital - keep it going your legacy I believe remains solid.

Regards

Steven

Husband was recently admitted to Concord for surgery. He was very impressed by the care he received from the surgeons, doctors and nursing staff and believes they should be regarded as heroes. We are very grateful for the care he received. Many thanks.

Thanks for giving me again the sense of smell! I feel amazing like if I was born again. At the beginning it was a traumatic experience going into surgery, the lights the surroundings. Wow!

Then waking up from Anesthesia and seeing the principal next to me saying it was perfect the operation your nose didn't change!

Stayed the night and beds are comfy the attention is good! The place super tidy and well very noisy because there was a dude that snored like a family of bears. But Ive got nice noise suppressors and fell asleep nicely.

Next day the attention was better than expected.

Today came for the revisions and I feel absolutely happy with the results, the attention and the humanity of the team.

I'm glad to be in Australia, going out and smell the amazing Rain near autumn.

Thanks again!

Excellent overall experience as a public patient here - once for a minor accident, ongoing for a continuing condition. For those who've been frustrated as seen in some reviews, remember the medical and support staff have big workloads, sometimes have rather outdated facilities, and have to make unenviable decisions to put some urgent needs ahead of other people who have been waiting.

Still here enjoying the view of of the Parramatta river. I have been a patient here for the last 24 days and the treatment has been amazing. I am lucky to have my own room and on-suet with is not bad.More like a motel than a hospital.
My Neurosurgeon is one of the young guns emerging from the public system
The foods pretty good, no Michelin stars,
but I didn't come to the Hospital for the food I came here to get my neck-back operation to get rid of severe nerve pain. The staff are very efficient and courtious towards their patients. I will be staying another 10 days from writing this, still have another procedure to go.Have watched Cronulla win a Grand Final Absolutely Amazing! !!
Laying back today watching Bathurst 1000
Only thing I can whinge about Concord Hospital is the Elevators, or lack of them that work.
Thanks Very much Concord Hospital for giving me such good treatment when I was whinging with the nerve damage .
Also the friendly tea ladies who shove muffins and biscuits into you 2 times a day
Concord Hospital is a great place to be if you are in need of a bit of a holiday mixed with the greatest medical care available in the public system.
Got to go ,I hear the tea trolley coming,
Thanks Chris Houghton

Michelle the ED doctor that took care of me yesterday was the most thorough, caring doctor I have ever met!!! Finding out I had severe hypertension and the care she took to look at everything was amazing. The nurses were all lovely and of course working their butts off. Much love to you all and the wonderful job you do ❤

Have had to wait a while sometimes but it's a public hospital, you get triaged. All staff I've met with have been totally lovely if a bit tired from the undeserved hatred I've seen them receive. Just try and relax mate, you'll get seen when you get seen, just be glad you live in a country with a robust healthcare system.

I'm only giving 5 stars because of the staff.

I came in at 10:45pm the other night as I needed stitches. I wasn't seen to until about 8am the next morning. The triage nurse on shift that night was an absolute angel, from the minute I walked in to the very last minute I saw her. Sadly I didn't get her name. She watched me sit in the waiting room the whole night, I guess they had no beds available earlier. Around 730am she came in and took me to a bed and apologized genuinely and told me it had been a rough night. Not long after a very nice nurse Massimo came in, changed my gauze and got me some much needed painkillers. Doctor Cristina came in and stitched me up with class and a great sense of humour. These 3 made my morning. They were kind, understanding, compassionate and professional people. Thank you guys, yous certainly made the long depressing night worth the wait! ❤🌹

On the 11th of May my husband was taken to the emergency at Concord Hospital by ambulance.
He was later admitted to 5 North Ward. I cannot thank the Doctors Nurses in both areas enough for the care he received. The Ambulance and paramedic team who came to the house and lady l spoke to at 000 were also amazingly. I cannot thank them all enough.

I was admitted to this hospital in 2016 and found the staff to be attentive helpful and very caring. You have to realise they have other patients to attend to and can't stand next to your bed all day but I never felt forgotten.
Jump forward to 2023 and I'm now in the care of the ICON team and the oncology department. I have to visit every 3 weeks. I have found everyone to be helpful and caring just as my previous experience.
In summary I've had operations, stayed in the ward, had radiation treatment, CT scans, PET scans, chemotherapy, blood tests... the list goes on. I've been treated well, cared for properly, and never picked up any secondary infections or anything like that. It's a great hospital filled with very caring staff.
What it really needs is a multi storey carpark. Where are the NSW Government when you desperately need them?

I never write reviews but the staff deserves one. I called in the ambulance 10:30 at night because I was panicking and home alone. They send a team of female officers to get me which made me feel very comfortable. They told me everything would be fine if I stayed home (as I was insisting on it) but insisted me to go to the hospital. The staff at the hospital took every measure to check on me and see if everything was alright. I stayed the night. Each at every employee worked to their level best.
This review may seem a lot, but it meant a lot for me since I was alone and scared last night.
Thank you so much guys 🥺❤
