Saigon Express Drummoyne

Simple meal and a nice family run sort of restaurant. The restaurant was not very busy on a Friday night. There were two people dining at the time, but it did get busier as time went on. The restaurant staff person (I think he was the owner) was friendly but straight to the point. He seated us quickly, was patient when we decided our order, and quickly took it. There was actually a large variety of items on the menu so it was quite difficult to make a decision!

The wait for the food was minimal. It was tasty and super fresh. There was a good amount of protein and a good ratio of veggies and noodles.

Would definitely recommend it. They seemed popular with take away as well as walk ins (as time went on). The prices were good and the food was very enjoyable.

Don’t be fooled by the look of the restaurant, the food was so fresh and tasty. We had the Vietnamese pancake and a lemongrass pork chop with fried rice. It was delicious and we’ve added this to one of our favourites.

This place is BYO so don’t forget your beers or wine!

We have been coming to Saigon Express regularly for nearly 10 years, never get sick of the delicious food! The crispy Pork Chop and Vermicelli rice noodle salad is Amazing! The pepper steak and tomato rice is delicious! The Pho and Vietnamese Pancake is yummy too! Mary is an Awesome chef and Kevin is a lovely host. We love eating here and really recommend this restaurant!

Friendly owner who provides great customer service. Crispy chicken was delicious, good amount of flavour and not dry at all.

Great food good, size portions, the pho is delicious the crispy chicken is crispy, the chicken curry is the best I've had for a while. That and add a tricolour drink and we've had a really good night. Mode meals are less that $20 which makes it very good value

Nothing fancy with this place, but the food is authentic and tasty! Pretty happy with this local find and have been back several times already. Highly recommend. This is a good place for never judging a book by its cover.

Best Vietnamese Food in Inner West.We been going there for the past ten years and it is delicious.Pho was amazing,pork chops was divine and their springs roll are a must !!.This a must for anyone going to Drummoyne.

Don't let some of the older reviews put you off - this is a fantastic, underrated Vietnamese place. Deep and flavourful pho but the star of the show is the pork chop chop fried rice - generous and delicious.

Nice and Cosy place, had a pho with beef and beef meatballs, really nice and subttle flavours, also a large portion, fairly priced, highly recommend this little hidden gem.
