What a delightful discovery this charming little establishment turned out to be!
Indeed, there is much to be said about it.
I happened to be in town visiting family when this breakfast spot was recommended to me.
Upon entering, I immediately sensed that I would thoroughly enjoy my experience there. The decor exuded a unique and captivating ambiance, with a touch of Gothic charm. I found myself drawn to the eclectic artwork adorning every corner, from the walls to the restrooms and even the takeaway coffee cups.
Needless to say, I was eagerly anticipating the food that awaited me, and I must say, it did not fall short of my expectations.
I indulged in the delectable banana bread, perfectly complemented by the vanilla butter.
I also tried their hearty big breakfast, complete with crispy hash browns and perfectly cooked bacon.
My daughter opted for the house waffles, which I also had the pleasure of trying, and they were simply delightful.
I highly recommend this establishment and wholeheartedly intend to return to purchase some of their unique souvenirs and their dark roast coffee beans.
As for my beverage of choice, I opted for my customary caramel latte, which was prepared to perfection.

Despite the slow service, the unique ambiance and delicious offerings make it a standout destination in the bustling city.

What an amazing spot - you'd have no idea it's here from the outside. Absolutely delicious coffee and meals, super cool interior and friendly staff. Definitely coming back next time we're in Coffs.

This cafe is open on NY day and every day of the year, except xmas day. Serves wonderful quality cafe food , efficiently and with nice relaxed service. We had an angus burger and a fish fingers and salad . Both are delicious . Highly recommended . It was packed when we came , unsurprisingly. But everyone is served quickly and efficiently.

AAAAAAAAMAZING! While my brain was processing the flavour explosion happening in my mouth I briefly considered moving to Coffs Harbour just to be able to frequent this place.
Hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten at any cafe/restaurant. From me, my stomach and my taste buds thank you 🙏 🤤

To the Dark Arts Cafe Crew, Bravo! This place is not only stunning with it's gothic interior, mixed match furniture and cranking music but the breakfast was stunning and finally a great decaf mocha! I've had Eggs Benedict up and down the coast and finally a hollandaise with some zing and some love! Super jealous of those that live in Coffs who get to enjoy this quirky place everyday. Plus they have a sister joint in town that takes over from lunch to dinner and drinks. Fantastic service and a massive pat on the back to the chefs, again Bravo!

Seriously original place with beautiful young people and superb food, the decorations are brilliant it’s all antiques and good music playing. The young servers are really helpful. Our server Khai in particular was brilliant -so happy and helpful. All the other young girls were helpful to as well. We ordered extra things off the menu’s normal stuff and they were so happy to oblige. There are puzzles and toys for children with many families dining here for breakfast. There were brilliant toilets -like little antique art galleries. This was our the best experience in Coffs Harbour as we travelled through from Sydney to Queensland. Highly recommended.

Very very nice coffee Roasters in a beautiful dark themed cafe. The decoration is amazing, you can spend hours just looking around and enjoying the old furniture and paintings on the wall.Their coffee is excellent and I regret not buying their beans to brew at home. As for the food, it's good but compared to all the rest there's nothing much special about it. Beware that they have somewhat loud music playing non-stop, so it's more of a cafe for enjoying than going for work from there.

Stopped here on a whim because of the name. This cafe absolutely blew me away. Awesome vibe. The decor is amazing, metal music playing, and the food was delicious.

Wow, what a hidden treasure in Coffs Harbour. Seek it out and enjoy an eclectic and fun atmosphere with amazing coffee, cracking food and great service.

It was a shower day with the smooth flowing music sang and played by a musician with a amazing unique, peaceful, gentle voice in the cafe. Vintage style, real fire candles stand. A amazing start of the day.
(But I don’t like the bagel)

The staff are very nice, especially the person who served us, Ash, she was extremely friendly.

The place has gorgeous furniture and environment.

We liked their coffee, smashed avo, waffle and the vegan plate.

Wowzers! This place is Coffs Harbours best cafe! Coffee is in my top 3 coffees of all time! Amazing! Brekkie was tasty, fresh and a little different to the standard bacon and eggs. I'll be back again for sure. Interested to see the lunch menu 😋

Fantastic vibe, great friendly staff and good coffee. Ordered a few coffees, breakfast plate and scrambled eggs. Everything was good, with the exception of the poached eggs which were quite overcooked. Other than that minor element, we had a great experience and will be back.

Came for breakfast with colleagues and we enjoyed it so much we had to come back the next day. The waffles are amazing, and particularly appreciated for being gluten free. Other meals were thoroughly enjoyed by my colleagues as well. Highly recommended should you be in Coffs and looking for a great breakfast spot.

What a unique experience. The cafe is filled with beautiful rustic furniture. The leadlight window is the feature. With very friendly and attentive staff. The food was fabulous and fresh. I had a ham and cheese croissant, which was just oozing with loveliness. My son had a burger and said it was magnificent. We are definitely coming back. The vibe was relaxing. A very spacious cafe. There's plenty of parking off the main street.

Fabulous, quirky and cosy atmosphere, good food and good service. What a wonderful place for lunch! And a reminder to "not judge a book by it's cover " when you pass by the outside.
