Springbok Delights

You will feel at home when you walk through those doors! The most incredible selection of South African EVERYTHING and such an awesome vibe - Alcohol, meats, sweets, sauces, spices literally anything and everything you crave and miss! The staff are a great mix of Saffas and Aussies dishing out cheeky one liners and sharing insights into how to best cook / serve up whatever you are cooking! Check it out, you will not regret it!

I’m a huge fan of Biltong and boerewors and when I get the cravings this is where I go. Without doubt the best biltong and fresh juicy, tasty and delicious boerewors this side of South Africa. No idea if this is a traditional South African family running the place but I would imagine there would have to be some link to the motherland. They have the most diverse range of gorgeous meat products. If you’re thinking of having a braai well Springbok Delights is the ground zero for quality well sourced meats. They have steaks, lamb sausages and of course Boerewors. Look if haven’t tasted this traditional and centuries old sausage you are missing out chommie (mate). Friendly and proficient and knowledgeable staff. Great vibe and it’s one of those special providores that moves the banality of mass produced commercial meats for the sublime. They have a huge array of South African wine and beer, sweets, confectionery, sauces and marinades. The key word for Springbok Delights is QUALITY. In Mowbray road. I would suggest parking (whether you are driving west or east on the street within a block of the store. Springbok Delights is an extremely popular store and there is also a very busy cafe next door so the five parking spots outside are generally filled. Also the area behind the store is not good for parking at this time (as of 4/2024) because construction is going full XGames mode and there is little or no parking. There is one disabled parking spot right outside the place.

I am a biltong fan and stumbled upon this place one day. The biltong here is the best!! Also had the dryworx which I’ll definitely be back for 😍 The staff are soo friendly and let me sample some of the other cuts. Just so delicious. If you’re a biltong fan, this is a must visit. I’m 24 years late visiting here but oh my. I’ll be back!!!

These guys are a jewel in our community. They do great meats and even better biltong. Some good stock of South African products.
During lockdown one of the guys would even do a home delivery for us when we couldn’t leave home.

Australia Post took a long time to deliver package and therefore the Biltong I ordered was a bit mouldy. I contacted Springbok Delights and they gladly offered me a refund. No hassle and very friendly. Will shop with them anytime.

Massive selection of South African products and excellent dry sausage & biltong

Visited this place for the first time today, was greeted by a lovely man by the name of Glen, went through what I might like and ended up getting the Smokey Biltong, best I've ever tasted, not to mention the sausages they have, as close to perfection you can get. Will be back soon for more!

Best South African shop around!

Fantastic and friendly staff who are always willing to help. The quality of their meats and other products have always been consistently of very high standard. They offer magnificent products that you can't get from your local supermarket that they make and age in-store. You can't leave the place without some of their famous Biltong, again cured and aged by them. They are always happy to cut to your desired size, so if what's on display isn't your desired thickness they will grab and cut to size from the back. I particularly like my steaks very thick. People will travel hours to get their famous South African delights.

Went in for the first time after driving by it for years. Why did we wait so long?! Excellent choice of so many little delicacies. Who knew South African sparkling wine was so good? Their biltong is also delicious. I’m hooked.

I've been coming here since I was a little girl back in 2000. Everyone I know who has subsequently discovered this place loves it - wonderful friendly staff, fantastic quality meat, and are able to order / accommodate anything unusual. We always get our meat here before big bbqs and the guys will always roll it up for us and advise my partner of any tips or tricks cooking it. The biltong is so good - we always stop and buy some before a ski trip or long hike. There's also a lot of south african produce which I've seen expats travel here to buy. Really great local community store, love having them nearby!

It feels so welcoming walking into this shop with all the staff smiling and friendly. The meats are top quality and have always impressed at the barbecues i buy them for. Very recommended. Adam especially has always helped me above and beyond normal customer service.

Walked in having no real experience of it, walked out with the gentleman’s suggestion — and no lie, some of the softest, juiciest, most tender meat I’ve ever eaten. Not really a big jerky person, but this stuff changed my mind. I never knew it could be this good!! I thought jerky always had to be dry and chewy. Plus, awesome selection of spices, meat rubs, and salts for cooking at home. Honest to goodness life changer.

Springbok Delights is a delight! Great variety of foods and super quality. Not living in Sydney, orders are delivered quickly and delivered in quality packaging. Love the traditional droëwors and biltong. Great customer service as well!! Highly recommend 👌

It's so disappointing as a South African to go to Saffa shops to buy biltong and it's not up to the standard you are used to. Especially not paying premium price for it. This place however did not disappoint 👌🏻. Their biltong was blerrie lekker 🤤. Very good range of food and other goodies too. Will happily make an effort to visit again any time in the future.

Absolutely excellent service from Inge - I ordered from South Africa for my son in Sydney Australia and he received his parcel well in time for his birthday. Outstanding products and packaged with care.

BEST Biltong I've ever had!! I ordered the wagyu biltong in original and mango+chilli flavours. Both are amazing, the meat they source is super tender and the product isn't too salty like others I've had. Incredible product and even better service, got it next day.

The AFP should investigate what goes into the biltong, they are so addictive, it's hard to stop eating them.

Haven't cooked the steaks yet but they looked really fresh!

I have tasted all the biltong across Sydney, but the biltong from Springbok Delights are by far the BEST biltong I have ever tasted, even in South Africa! If you want top quality and the tastiest biltong and droëwors, GO TO SPRINGBOK DELIGHTS!!! And the service is wonderful! Very friendly and helpful staff😊
