We have had the privilege of 2 tours with James 3 years apart. Simply a really good man with a fab sense of humour and tremendous knowledge not only of wine but the region and its history. James had an obvious affinity with the winemakers we visited each of whom had an obvious respect for him.
I could not recommend James more highly.

I recently did the half-day wine tour with my family and we had a fantastic day with James as our guide. He is very friendly, knowledgable about the history of Mudgee and clearly loves his home town, as do we now that we have visited! I would highly recommend Mudgee Valley Wine Tours with James. Five stars from us!

Winnie’s from NZ who were somewhat sceptical about Mudgee wines. Very impressed with the quality of wines on offer on our tour of vineyards that we would never had experienced otherwise. Came away with several boxes of wine that we have no idea how we are going to get home. James was the most consummate host who clearly loves people and gave us a very memorable day. Highly recommend.

My husband and I visited Mudgee at the start of 2021 for our wedding anniversary. We love our wine but we had never been to Mudgee.
We hired James to be our guide around the region as he had been recommended to us through a friend of a friend and we are so glad that we did. Not only did James drive us around all day to multiple wineries in the Mudgee region, but he also gave us some insight into the history of Mudgee itself. He made us feel very comfortable and very at home and nothing was ever too much. James snapped some photos of us throughout the day, enjoying the sights and the beautiful wine and produce that Mudgee has to offer and shared them with us at the end of the day. 5 star service from us!

James has such an unparalleled knowledge of the area and Mudgee wineries, the one-on-one experience is just unmatched. We visited so many beautiful wineries, spent all our money on Chardonnay, and would recommend to anyone wanting to tour the wonderful Mudgee wineries.

James is the best tour guide! He took us to beautiful wineries and he is a wealth of knowledge about wine and the history of the area. He is so accommodating. We had our 5 year old with us and he made sure he was involved and included every step of the way. We had so many laughs and learnt a lot about the region, it's past and the local produce.
We can't recommend James enough.

Our afternoon wine tour with James was wonderful! Could not fault anything, visited three wineries all with exceptional wines and each with their own special atmosphere. James has a great knowledge of the local history of the area and also as a photographer we had a bonus as he emailed us some great photos of our tour!

The best experience you could possibly have! James was so accommodating and personalised the tour to suit us. We had our baby with us and he worked around feeds, sleeps etc. The wineries were amazing, great service and experience at all the ones we visited. James is incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell it's his passion and he loves his job. Thanks can't wait to come back!

Had the best afternoon with James. Not only did we get a fantastic wine tour, we also learnt so much about Mudgee. We have 3 kids with us and James found vineyards that we kid friendly so we were all entertained. Coming back for a full day tour. Fantastic

Very much enjoyed my afternoon tour with James in that lovely vehicle whose air con was much needed too! Wonderful selection of wineries to visit where the welcome was warm and, between times, James gave me so much interesting information about not just wines / wine making but also about Mudgee and the local area. Thank you James for showing us your very special Mudgee. We enjoyed the history of the places we visited that you were able to share with us. The wineries were superb and we got great treatment as you knew everyone and I was very glad that we weren’t driving home after such a pleasant afternoon.
