The Barn Restaurant

Peaceful and lovely restaurant with beautiful outdoor seating! We enjoyed the burrata, trout, pork and parfait.
We were lucky to be blessed with clear blue skies and heard the sounds of the birds as we dined.

We had the most wonderful lunch/experience on Saturday with the family including a member visiting from Spain.
We've been several times before and have never been disappointed, in fact, the very opposite!
Everything was sensational! Food, wine, service, atmosphere and incredibly location all five star!
I recommend The Barn very highly for the most amazing meal out and experience.
Nick and Sophie are amazing hosts as are all their staff!

We had the most wonderful lunch at the Barn yesterday. The food and wine was amazing and reasonably priced. We loved the spritzer to start too! The owner and staff were super friendly and made our girls lunch a great experience. We’ll be back next time we’re in Mudgee.

The only thing missing was an open fire on a cold night. Everything else was excellent. Great food, wine and service.

Wow! We had lunch at this fabulous restaurant yesterday. Set in gorgeous surrounds we had a late lunch overlooking the vines. This is seriously good food. The lamb ribs with the pomegranate molasses sauce was incredible! Service was fantastic - relaxed, friendly and understated but knowledgable and professional. The other thing that really impressed me was the wine list. Lots of well considered local choices at a reasonable price. The Rickards pinot was a standout. This was the best meal we had in Mudgee. Just book it in now for a weekend lunch. Brilliant 🥂

Genuinely one of the best meals we've had anywhere. Very impressed by what Mudgee has to offer and The Barn went beyond our expectations in every way.

This is one of the yummiest meals we had on a road trip. For someone who doesn’t like tomatoes, the tomatoes and peppers are hella good.

Probably the best restaurant in Mudgee by far. Quality, Value and Service are exceptional! If you visit Mudgee this place is a must! Thanks again for the great lunch!

We have visited The Barn several times now & on each occasion the food and service have been of a very high standard. The food, wine and drinks selections cater for all tastes. We will be back for sure to try more of the gastronomic delights on offer at The Barn in Mudgee.

This restaurant is well up there with the best in Mudgee. The food was awesome. We had 4 mains to share with 3 sides which was very much enough for four big eaters (we brought some home!!!)
The outdoor setting was beautiful even in mid winter.

Our meals included Rib Eye Steak, Pork & veal polpette, tomato sugo, provolone, Chargrilled lamb backstrap skewer, puy lentils, cumin yoghurt, Roast Chicken whichbwas amazing. Well they were allllll AMAZING!!!

I’ve been here a couple of times now and every single time, The Barn has not disappointed! They’ve changed their menu recently and it amazes me how the chef can produce such delicious plates every single time even with new items on the menu. On this visit, we had the foccacia, stracciatella, suppli (similar to arancini- not pictured) for entree. For mains, the pork & veal polpetta (meatballs) and beef shortrib. For dessert, we had caramel pudding and honey ice cream sandwich which we all thought were both a 10/10. Our waitress was also incredible, so warm and addressed any questions we had- sadly, we didn’t catch her name but she mentioned she was Belgian. I’ll be going back again and again :)

Great venue. Loved the share plates for mains. Good selection of different types of meats served in interesting ways. Great salad, crispy potatoes and asparagus. Indoor and outdoor dining spaces. Indoors had big fans circulating air in the room. We chose a smooth blue wren reserve shiraz which was delightful. Overall a great experience.

Beautiful food, warm ambiance and great service. Meal was so flavoursome, absolutely delicious. Look forward to going back. 5 star venue.

All the food was delicious , the atmosphere was welcoming and the service was personable. We loved everything about our leisurely lunch a The Barn and we will definitely be back.

We recently had a family lunch for 19 people and it was absolutely amazing. Nothing was a problem, the service was so friendly. The set menu for larger groups was delicious.

What a beautiful restaurant on beautiful grounds. The food was incredible. Such detail to flavours and freshness and clearly local produce. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to visit Mudgee again just to go here.

We recently took visiting friends from Central Coast to dinner at the Barn.
The were delighted with their dining experience and stated they would be hard pressed to find anywhere as good near them.

Brilliant meal - the duck confit was delicious as were the lamb cutlets. Friendly helpful service that was prompt without rushing us. Will certainly be going back again before too long

LOVED our experience at The Barn. Food was out of this world, and the wine was absolutely delicious. Will be highly recommending to anyone visiting Mudgee! Service was amazing, the staff seem to really care and are very passionate.

Only downside is the inside seating area is very noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation across the table, even with only a few other tables seated.
