Okami Japanese Restaurant

Great food and great staff, even though it was busy they kept positive. We stayed for around 2 hours and they didn't ask us to leave early. Please give them a raise, because of high living costs.

I took my son and his friends there for his birthday recently. We truly enjoyed the whole experience there. The food was so delicious and served quite quickly, and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended.

Food are great. Fast service. Friendly staff. My favorite dish is Yakiniku Beef. Homemade green tea and sesame ice cream are awesome. Recommended

Okami Japanese restaurant is a newly-opened restaurant creating a buzz in the local Shire community. Just a stones throw from the main Cronulla Mall drag, it’s a great option for relaxed dinner with friends or a fun foodie date. For $35 all-you-can-eat, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better value Japanese meal in the area!

Walking into Okami, you’ll find the place warm with simple modern Japanese decor. Once seated, get yourself familiar with the menu - you’ll be ordering as much as you like all night! There are plenty of options for everyone tastebuds, including gyoza, salads, spring rolls, rice, noodles, takoyaki, chicken kaarage and a whole range of main meat dishes. While most of the offerings are geared towards meat-eaters, there’s also a decent selection of vegetarian dishes as well.

Okami also offers sushi and sashimi platters, although we found these to be a bit average for us. Truthfully, we weren’t expecting much from the sushi (considering the all-you-can-eat nature of the establishment), so no bad blood from us there.

Our advice: skip the boring fillers like spring rolls and rice, and get stuck right into the meaty mains.

The highlight for us here at Okami was the beef carpaccio, drizzled with ponzu and wasabi mayonnaise. We ordered far more plates of this delicious dish than we’d like to admit! The miso steak came in at a close second, small bites of tender beef cooked to perfection.

Despite being busy, we didn’t have to wait too long for our orders to be served. They did a great job of keeping on top of everyone’s orders, with food constantly streaming out of the kitchen hot and fresh. This was an impressive feat considering most tables were 5-10 people, with everyone ordering multiple dishes at the same time.

The staff here are friendly, although they did come across as a bit tired. It was very a busy Saturday night service though, so this could have been why!

Overall, we’d recommend checking out Okami out if you’re in the market for a wholesome Japanese feast.

A great japanese food experience, their isn't anything out of ordinary in the menu but the basics were there and they were delicious, fresh and of course, you could have as much as you liked. They have some vegetarian options, but it is a bit hard to be vegan, although you can have the edamame and possibly the vegetable Gyoza and vegetarian spring rolls, but for Vegans you would be better off getting takeaway and not the budget. I would get takeaway from here as well because the food was so fresh and delicious.

One of the best all you can eat restaurants in Sydney. Very clean and nicely presented interior, and good quality Japanese cuisine. Staff are very kind and attentive with timely service.

Variety of dishes is good enough and quality of some of them (e.g. tempura, sashimi, or miso steak) was even better than what I expected for an all you can eat menu. Although, there was some exceptions like too dry chicken skewers or too oily and undercooked yaki niku.

The price is reasonable but on the edge and if higher than this I would think twice to visit again.

an amazing all you can eat restaurant! a good variety of menu dishes with amazing flavour. it took no more than 10 minutes to get all our food delivered which is great considering we were a table of 7. the customer service was wonderful - they surprised my mum with a happy birthday song and free ice cream for her birthday which was lovely! the only downside was the desserts. there were only 4 dessert items to choose from in which 3 were just straight up plain ice cream scoops. however everything else was perfect so we weren't too fussed about that!! 5/5 stars :)

Excellent place to try Japanese cuisine, delicious fresh variety, friendly fast customer service for top value. Can’t go wrong having dinner here .. from entrée, mains desert and drinks … Hope more restaurants opening up as such!!!

had a wonderful dining experience, we booked for 6:30pm on a Saturday but were able to be seated at 6pm. We ate from the all you can eat menu and the selections were varied and plenty enough to try a bit of everything. Staff were very friendly and came around to check on us and ask if we wanted to order any more food throughout our stay. Wait times were not long and we always had some food on the table or on the way. Food was fresh and had clearly just been prepared. Overall would reccomend for a nice night out if you are willing to spend the $40 pp

Authentic Japanese ramen, udon, and other Japanese dishes.
It is one of the best Japanese places in Sutherland.
Enough parking near by and the place has nice outside area.

After hearing About Okami from friends, we booked and drove up from Shellharbour to experience the 'All you can eat menu'. There was a good range of meals, all of which were pleasant. The food is very fresh and service was quite good with various table waiters continually prompting you for more meals. The drinks menu didn't offer much by way of beers, and I didn't look at the rest. All in all, a good experience and although I ate my fair share, I didn't feel like I'd eaten that much. Highly recommended Japanese Restaurant.

I recently visited the all you can eat Japanese restaurant in Okami's Cronulla location and was pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices and the high quality of the food. The service was also top-notch, with attentive staff who made sure our experience was enjoyable. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, including sushi, tempura, sashimi, dumplings and much much more, so there's something for everyone. The food is fresh and delicious, and the all you can eat format means you can try a little bit of everything. I definitely think it was good value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant for a tasty and affordable meal.
