Top Ryde Chicken

I went at lunch and enjoyed the food so much I went back for dinner. Nice good, good service. Happy to have a new chicken place at Top Ryde!

Lovely chicken and other meat with cheap prices

Best chicken for years now

We've been buying chicken items from them every now and then, they sell halal certified chicken. They are located outside the Woolworths at the LG1 floor of Top Ryde Shopping Centre. We buy some selective items so didn't encounter any issues as of yet.

Extremely rude staff. Poor customer service. The shop was to close at 6 pm and I went at 5:15 pm and asked to cut chicken thigh fillets into pieces, the salesman refused and said that he has “washed the knives and cutting boards and can’t make them dirty again”. He refused service good 45 minutes before the closing time. Upon my insistence he told me to either take the fillets and cut them by myself “because it is not that hard” or visit again in the morning. Another time when i visited, he charged me an extra dollar (He used to charge $1 on top but that day he charged $2) saying that “it was too much work for them to cut 1 kg chicken fillet”. Not going back again. I used to visit only for the sake of halal chicken but i have found other shops providing halal meat with much better customer service.

Just last week I was craving for duck meat and went to buy duck breast meat.
They were just closing the shop asked an old Asian men and he says they have it he goes inside somewhere where their fridge is . Comes back with a pack of 3 duck breast with wing .
Then I was telling him that duck smells so old and it looks dry even it was frozen . He was kept saying no no it is fresh and you will love it . Trusted his word and opened that soon I came home . All 3 breast meats was smelling so much had to cut off all parts including skins just kept breast pieces . Thought after cooking it will be fine . It was so old meat smelly couldn’t even dare to try .
Made us feel sick for few days . That meat was 100% over few months old .

Will be going back and asking for money back . Liar salesman .

Incredibly rude people, specially the 'Manager'. They don't know anything about customer service. Don't even know how to process and cut chicken properly. I asked for an 8 piece cut, I got 11 pieces with 7 very large poorly cut pieces and 4 very small pieces. And when I went back to complain, the manager started shouting loudly and throwing his hands in the air saying he doesn't care.

Very bad service. Other reviews suggest they sell expired chicken too. Don't know how they are still here with such bad service.

I bought the chicken schnitzel and took it directly home and cooked it for lunch. I live a 5 minute walk from the shopping centre but drove because we had the car cleaned there. The chicken is definitely off. It smells bad, it tastes bad.

I am eight months pregnant and it is super dangerous for ANYONE to be eating spoiled chicken.

I called the shopping centre who was surprised that the business has disconnected their phone number. They said they will try and follow up with the business.

I have reported it to the council. If you experience this and want to report it, just call Ryde council and make a report.

Stay away from this place
Bought chicken from here, chicken was OFF !!!. . After I complained and obtained my refund, as I was walking away, I saw them put my returned chicken back for resale.

Worst place to buy chicken ever. Spoiled chicken and terrible service. They smash the chicken on the counter and tell me to go complaint to Nsw food health department. They are definitely selling chicken which are over due date.

Terrible off chicken. Do t go near this shop. The chicken made me sick twice. Fist time I thought it wears just a one off. But second time same again. No redress from management after discussion

Incredibly rude and wont respond to specifics about the meat.very dismissive sven whilst making a purchase. I have never experienced atrocious service like that.

Sold expired chicken with and updated date of tomorrow on top of the old label. Smell was putrid.

Put cooked chicken and raw chicken in the same window. Then blew her nose and continued cutting chicken breast.
