Magpies Nest Restaurant

What a great find!! We were lucky enough to be child free and enjoy a date night and when we saw Magpies nest was across from where we were staying we were so glad we were able to try it! We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table with a great view. The cocktails were delicious. I loved the menu options and that the entrees were included. The fresh baked sourdough, homemade olive oil from the olives grown on site and dukah were a great start to our meal. Entrees did not disappoint and were full of delicious flavours. Our mains (lamb) were cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed our desserts. The wine (Shiraz/Cab Saver) from the winery was also very good! Thank you to Hayley and the team for such a memorable dinner!

Hayley, what can I say, other than you are a wedding day angel! Dropped by our original venue with 2 weeks until wedding day. Hayley agreed to take us on during their busiest time of year, Valentine’s Day! With a packed restaurant of diners she gave us a most special wedding afternoon /evening we will never forget. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to give us the perfect day. A true credit to the hospitality industry. Thank you for a wedding day we will never forget. Jamie & Tim.

This is a treasure that is worth looking for. Just out of Wagga Wagga near the university is this special dining experience. There is a limited menu with four choices of main and four for dessert. However, along with the homely baked bread and olive oil with dukķa for appetiser and delicious entree selection, every main dish is special and fabulous. Noone in our party was disappointed.

The staff are attentive and friendly. The wines and cocktails are worth splurging on - especially as this extraordinary meal is just $60 per head.

It is perfect for that special occasion, or just to spoil yourself and the one/those you love.

Lovely and kind wait staff. The sunsets are always spectacular. Excellent spring menu. Great for date night and wonderful food.

The food is always amazing. I've always enjoyed the meals and their sourdough, olive oil and dukka is devine. There is gorgeous views across the vineyard at sunset and the building is full of character and history. Worth a visit.

I had an incredible dining experience at Magpies Nest Wagga restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and shown to my table in a timely manner.

The menu offered a great selection of dishes, and everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. The chef clearly puts a lot of care and attention into each dish, and it really shows.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, and the decor was stylish and unique. I loved the use of natural materials and warm lighting to create a welcoming ambiance.

The service was excellent - our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

We had our wedding here in October 2022. From the moment I inquired about available dates back in 2021, to the wedding day itself, Hayley was nothing short of amazing. Not only is Magpies Nest a beautiful venue, the staff are exceptional and the food is amazing. We loved that everything was either grown on the property or sourced from local vendors. The entire wedding planning process was made easy thanks to Hayley and her staff and we would book Magpies Nest again and again if we could! They worked seamlessly with all our wedding vendors and our guests had nothing but lovely things to say. Thank you Magpies Nest!!! We can't wait to go back on our first anniversary :)

We had our wedding at Magpies Nest in March and had the most amazing experience! Hayley and her staff were professional and accommodating, and made the day much less stressful than we expected a wedding to be. From our first meeting with Hayley, it was clear she had a thorough understanding of how to cater events. She effortlessly pivoted anytime we wanted to make changes to our timeline of the day (and her suggestions were often better than ours!). The attention to detail from the staff to our guests was phenomenal and many of our friends/family are still raving about our choice of venue. Honestly, if I could give more than 5/5 stars to Magpies Nest I would. Thank you!

We had our Wedding Day here and could not fault a thing. Brilliant. Hayley and her team take all the stress out of the day and arrange it all. Food and setting was outstanding. Very highly recommend this place for your special occasion.

Attended a winter midday wedding at the Nest and was most impressed by the atmosphere created. Great gathering courtyard out in the winter sun. Dinning area was well laid out; intimate and with great views. The staff were charming, efficient and helpful. The food was the best I've ever had at a wedding banquet and included a most amazing and colourful dessert presentation. I highly recommend this venue.

The set menu, although listing 4 mains and 4 desserts, offered a good range, even vegan. Our small group covered most of the options and everyone was very satisfied from the entrees to dessert. We booked the small room which was quiet and where we could discuss our book reading for the month. The staff were attentive and friendly, and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy each course. No difficulty with paying separately. Great value for money considering the quality and presentation of each dish.
Only down side is the very poor lighting of Pine Gully Road approaching the entrance. Wagga Wagga City Council needs to upgrade the street lighting given the huge growth in local traffic.
