Great food and service, very romantic and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for friends / family / dating! Duck breast and beef both are very tender, mocktails are perfectly made too! Very nice sunset feel if arrive before dark. Close to train station, abundant parking places nearby too, very convenient. Definitely worth coming back again to try different dishes!

Our new favourite Italian restaurant in the Shire! ❤ Beautiful, leafy location on the first floor. The restaurant has a gorgeous cosy ambiance. The wait staff were warm, wonderful, attentive and made sure we were delighted at all times. Everything we tried was beyond delicious…from the starters of warm olives, crusty bread with ricotta dip and olive tapenade, and creamy garlic prawns, to our mains of braised beef cheek and ricotta gnocchi. Perfection!! 10/5 stars 🌟 I recommend ordering garlic bread to scoop up every last drop of the amazing gnocchi sauce! I tried the blood orange spritz and it was divine. We finished dinner with a tiramisu (the BEST!) and the Nutella crème brûlée. My husband and I are already dreaming about what to order for our next visit…everything on the menu looks so delicious 😊 Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will be back again very soon! 🙏🏼

We booked online - a Sunday night - and mosied in on time. The staff were attentive and the setting spacious, with photographs of Italy on the wall. I had a wonderful pasta bosciolla dish. My only dismay was when they tried to pour alcoholic apple cider into a glass of ice. That's like having ice in your wine. Who does that? Otherwise we loved it. Definitely worth trying.

Loved their food and their service was great! I even got sparklers on my birthday cake. I recommend trying their food. I was lucky to eat there with lots of people, so we could order a smorgasbord of entrees to try more dishes. The chilli garlic prawns was my favourite and a must try!
I had the veal scallopini for my main which was really nice, though the potato was a little too crispy for my liking, but when I tried someone else's lamb shank meal, the meat was so soft it fell off the bone and the flavour was so nice. I'm definitely planning to go back to try some other mains in the future

Just had an absolutely incredible meal here for Father’s Day lunch. The set menu was full of delicious options, it was hard to choose! Really tasty food, nice generous portions and good value for money. Family friendly with a great kid’s menu - so we will definitely be back! So nice to have a great local Italian restaurant in Jannali. I wish we had discovered it sooner, we’ll be recommending to all of our friends and neighbours! Thank you for an excellent lunch!

You will absolutely not regret getting dinner here. Perfect for family dinners, celebrations, dates, or even just alone; the food is always delicious and the staff are reliable and helpful. One of the best spots in the Sutherland shire if you’re looking to up your dinner experience.

Fantastic experience! My partner and I came here to celebrate 6 months together. Food was served in generous portions with an excellent wine selection. They decorated our table with love heart glitter on the side.

Restaurant was cosy and decorated nicely. They have a comfortable lounge wall with cushions. Wait staff were very professional and attentive. We attended on a Saturday night and the place was very lively and noisy. So it's not the best place for a long conversation but at least we were able to cuddle up between meals on the lounge.

They went out of their way and even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert plate and complimented us on looking like a cute couple and asking us how many years we were married!

Being busy, meals take a little longer to prepare and we found the share bowl garlic prawns was too small for 2 people and they didn't bring out additional bowls to spoon it into anyway. So keep that in mind when ordering. Otherwise main meals were very generous indeed and very tasty. I ordered the duck and it was well done. Just the right portion size. My partner ordered the chicken cacciatore and it was most definitely a large plate of food that we ended up sharing!

I'd definitely come back here again!

Great classic food, everything was delicious and the portion sizes were excellent (only feedback would be would love to see 1-2 more vegetarian options if seasonality permits, please) 🙏

Restaurant is well-positioned overlooking leafy trees on the second floor. Decor is really pretty with fairy lights and there's a beautifully handwritten wall-to-wall chalkboard along the far wall. Tables nice and spaced out so you're not on top of other patrons too.

Prices are a little higher than nearby places but it's a venue geared for special occasions or date night and definitely worth the treat - they also do BYO $4PP.

Service was great, waitstaff were very chill, happy and polite.

What a wonderful restuarant to visit. The staff were particularly attentive, very friendly and efficient in all aspects of their service. The food was fantastic so big kudos to the chef on his outstanding work. Big thanks for the surprise dessert for our birthday girl. Will definitely be here again.

Loved the food - we had pasta dishes with incredibly fresh seafood. Amazing rocket and beetroot salad. Loved the friendly staff and attentive service. Loved the ambience which was so conducive for a long chat and a good catch up with friends. The pavlova was a bit too sweet for our tooth but the tiramisu was lovely. Will definitely go back again.

Came here on a Saturday night and had a great time for our date night. As soon as we entered and smelt the food we knew it was going to be good. The calamari is a huge serving and can definitely be shared, chilli garlic prawns are amazing, beef tenderloin was beautifully cooked, seafood hotpot is to die for and the tiramisu again is of a very generous portion. Cocktails were made to perfection. Great to see this restaurant caters for all - families, couples and groups. Great ambience and staff were very friendly. We cannot wait to go back.

My partner and I ate here as a first date night since our baby was born and it was absolutely fantastic!

Great atmosphere, lovely hosts. The food was exceptional. We both had the steaks & even now its all I am thinking about. The steaks were a great quality cut & cooked to perfection.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our group originally had a larger booking and when numbers changed on the day of the dinner, Carol was incredibly understanding and couldn't have been more accommodating. Her staff kindly offered to put out table decoration that we had so we didn't have to waste time and even chilled our BYO wine for when our group arrived. We were all made to feel extremely comfortable. The set menu was varied and delicious and everyone's dietary needs were catered for. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Service was perfectly spaced encouraging conversation without feeling hungry. More importantly we never felt rushed, rather we were welcome to stay and enjoy ourselves. At the end of the evening, Carol didn't even bat an eyelid when our group needed to individually fix up certain items (other restaurants would have insisted they don't itemise bills - but not here)! If I could tell everyone to patron Rock Salt Jannali, I will ... not just because the food is great and portion size is filling or the warm professionalism of the staff or the not feeling rushed like you're a number attached to a time slot to maximise the businesses cash flow... these are great attributes of this restaurant, but I recommend Rock Salt Jannali because of the feeling I received from the first inquiry for my booking to the very end of it - the entire experience was outstanding. Thank you Carol and staff, other restaurants need to take notice of how you do things here- it's all in the details that leave the final impression and give a customer a definite 5 STAR experience.
