Grant coloured my hair today, then cut it. What an amazing. experience. Grant is a great guy, and so very good at what he does. His salon is warm, and inviting, a very peaceful ambiance. A real pleasure to be there. He is so attentive, listens very carefully to what you want, and then proceeds to make your wishes a reality. I told him basically what I wanted. He made suggestions, and I said to him, I will leave it up to you, you are the expert. The best thing I could have done. I had an important engagement tonight, and I walked in, feeling a million dollars, knowing how great my hair looked. I was so confident. Several people asked who was my hairdresser, and I was so happy to hand out a couple of his business cards. He had cut my hair before, but never coloured it, and I will never look for another hairdresser, as long as Grant is in business. . Thank you so much Grant. I have been having my hair cut and coloured at Ballyhoo for many years now. Grant is very skilled at his craft, and listens carefully to my requests. He is very generous, and always gives more service and care than the norm. He really does care about style and colour decisions,and aims always to help me make choices I am happy with - I've never had such an involved conversation about whether to have a fringe or not with any other hairdresser ! And if the colour isn't what I have imagined, he really goes the second mile/kilometre to help me get what I want. He is a lovely, kind, and caring man, and his salon is one of my happy places .

I have been coming to Ballyhoo every 6-8weeks for many years now and my hair looks better than it ever has. Grant does such a beautiful and caring job looking after my hair, through colours, highlights, and regular keratin treatment also, and always does what’s best for my hair. Quality treatment, honest, lovely and so helpful, I’m always happy with the result. And Grant cuts my kids hair too now, which is especially tricky with my son’s head full of curls. They love coming too and he does a great job!

Wow what a delightful man owner and stylist of his salon. From the moment you walk in the door your a treated with such a warm welcome. Grant really listens to you and cares about how you feel about your look. He takes time to study your hair type and only uses the best products. I 100% recommend Grant and Ballyhoo hair Salon. I've tried many hairdressers over the years while out of town and I will always rate Ballyhoo as number 1 for all round colour, cut, styling, products and best of all you have the one stylist from start to finish none of this one person does your cut then your handed over to someone else for your wash etc. oh and I love the style of the salon - big shout out and and thank you to Grant for caring about my hair and look. 😁💇‍♀

Grant the hairdresser was amazing, very professional and awesome with my colour and foils..He explained the whole process of colouring to me as this was my first time at his salon.

They have become a second family for myself and also for my husband and kids who also see both Grant and Mylee. We are always happy with our hair as well as the chit chat we get to have with them… always laughing and just a pleasure to be around. I was in search for a hairdresser to care for my very long, dark hair. I was greeted with such warmth and genuine kindness. Grant did such a wonderful job with my colour, he also makes a killer Earl Grey tea accompanied with a beautiful biscuit. I felt so well looked after.

Both the hair wash and blow dry were very luxurious. Grant used high quality products for my hair and treated me to a beautiful scalp massage.
My hair was blow dried beautifully, Grant took the time to blow dry each section of my hair properly with the round brushes, other salons have been known to blast dry quickly to begin with. However Grant styled my hair from start to finish the proper way.

I've never witnessed such a luxurious hair styling experience as the one I had at Ballyhoo. I will be recommending this beautiful salon to everyone. Thank you again Grant and Stacy. I'm thrilled to now be part of your salon community and I look forward to my next appointment.

I recently had my first appointment at Ballyhoo following a recommended from a friend whose hair I have always admired. Grant's attention to detail and skill as a colourist are impressive. He has added a new dimension to my colour with foils and my cut - shoulder length hair - is easy to maintain. Grant's skills at blow waving are also phenomenal. I would highly recommend Ballyhoo & Grant.

Nestled in the heart of Caringbah, I finally came across Ballyhoo Hair Studio for the first time. This cozy, little tucked away haven is tastefully decorated and reflects the warmth and friendliness of owner hairdresser, Grant. You can’t help but feel complete calm in his presence, something that doesn’t happen too often. Comfortably chatting away and at ease, I was guided by Grants expertise and honesty in the aspects of choosing my new colour/s and cut. My hair was in need of a makeover, I was not disappointed and love the out come. The fact it was one on one with Grant from start to finish made my visit all that more enjoyable which is a bonus. . I finally had my first appointment with Grant. I am writing this review for the following reasons. Having been a former client of two of Sydney's most prestigious Eastern suburbs salons, I have never found a colourist in the Shire anywhere close to the savvy & techniques of which I was familiar, until I attended Ballyhoo salon.
More than exemplary, his colouring repertoire is unparalleled, attention to detail and finish is reflected by his passion for artistic excellence.
Grant doesn't need to pay someone to write "PR Spin" to garner clients, the evidence is in his work. Ballyhoo for me was the whole package. There is no pretense, in this very chic boutique, just genuine warmth.
My experience transcended beyond a technically gifted hair stylist, I have met a truly authentic and special person.
The following day, I was met with exuberant compliments for my stunning blonde locks by everyone I came into contact with. I am so immensely grateful 🙏 I have found my forever stylist.

I first went to Ballyhoo after a bad cut + colour and was so glad I did! Grant really understands hair and listened to what I wanted and fixed the bad job. He also made some good recommendations for the long term health of my hair.
I really felt looked after in the beautiful calm salon - and loved the one-on-one attention. Grant is a sole operator and I can see he really puts energy into getting to know his customers. Totally a 5-star experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone to trust with their hair.
Make sure to rebook your next appointment before you go, as I didn't and it fills up quickly. But it was worth the wait and I won't be making that mistake again! Ballyhoo is a little gem of a salon and you won't be disappointed.

I came to visit my daughter from Italy and she took me to Grant to have my hair done. He looked after me and my hair like no one else before. He is professional and understands all your needs. He is a beautiful and kind person, and makes you feel at ease. He works with passion and professionalism. I loved the experience and I highly recommend him to everyone.

I have found this hair salon on Internet. It had pretty good reviews, and I somehow had a good hunch about it.
In addition, for some time, I felt like a need a change from the regular hairdressing place which had provenance and so called ‘flare’. I just felt they stop listening and were doing their own thing.
And how refreshing the whole experience was. Grant actually listens, and that’s not something granted these days. He suggested his ideas but only after he spent time listening and questioning me about my hair and liking. To set the right expectations. What a difference!
The whole thing was very personalised experience. Homely. All about the client.
Amazingly, he was very productive and spare me sitting half a day in the chair but very detailed in his application and time dedicated to me.
My hair has never looked better. Multi colour shades were sport on. His application was refreshing as he only applied colour on selective hair while protecting the already coloured part. That’s not easy with the multi foils. So, hair looks healthier.
Top score from me! And I’m not an easy client.

I have been going to ballyhoo hair for about 2 years now one of the best decisions I have made, I highly recommend ballyhoo hair to anyone it's amazing. Grant is absolutely amazing hair dresser very welcoming, always good vibes and Grant always has a great eye for detail. I get my hair cut in a layered style every 2-3 months or so, and grant does an amazing job every time and i’m very happy with my hair, i definitely recommend trying this salon.
