If I could give a - 5 I would.
I have never experience such a dysfunctional business in my life. I rented a property that the agent went ahead and ticked everything was in working order. To paint the picture… when I questioned it he told me the report didn’t really matter… ( I’m a home owner and had my place rented at the time and that list definitely matters ). When I arrived at the property the windows didn’t close nor did the curtains as well as the cupboard I was told would be fixed was peeling out and had a huge hole 🕳 in the bottom of it. There was also mould everywhere that the owner had painted over. Don’t get me started on the owner. They were all in cahoots.
I called the agent immediately ! No answer. Infact no one had answers besides the gate keeping receptionist who gossips about you. She had a lot of answers or deflections. As a woman to another woman I was repulsed the way she handled things. She should be ashamed of herself. Although when she was talking badly about me to a friend picking up the keys ( it was laughable as the friend was the ex renter who also had a horrible experience that moved upstairs that I made friends while living there ). He was appalled by her un professionalism.
The agent would not communicate by phone ( refused ). You also can’t contact any agent there is no mobile for anyone and you have to call the front desk and most of the time no agents is there to which you then have to email.
What agent is not capable of communicating on the phone it was a tactic to waste peoples time in my view. There was absolutely no respect for my time nor the fact I was pregnant and the stress it was causing me. The property was like faulty towers . However the owner thought it was the Taj Mahal.
Two Ncat meetings later to try and explain the problems to the owner which could have been avoided had the agent done his job properly from the beginning wasted the energy I didn’t have. The owner still wasn’t aware of what the actual problems were and my power had gone off ! Also the power blew up next to the baby’s cot. ( like would you even argue with the renter after such an event ). I was without power for over a week to which I was accused of lying about. The owner even threatened one of the owners who I had asked to please help me as I was booking my kettle with a baby in the park at 5am.
I even rung the owner of the company. He still couldn’t be bothered to change the agent and have it dealt with. I was gaslit, bullied, and punished for having problems in a property they rented. I would say the phrase customer service is not one of there goals in business.
I don’t know how they haven't been reported. Enter at your own risk.

Don’t rent your property through Chris Burke Real Estate! After R&W Cronulla was acquired by Chris Burke two years ago my tenanted property went over to them. I live in the Uk and have had to come back to Australia to repair by property that has clearly not been managed by these agents! Their treatment of me as a landlord has been disdainful and disrespectful at best. I will be taking this further.
