Bowen Park

Great spot for a picnic, decent amount of parking but it can fill up easily. There is a cafe here and public toilets.

Great scenery and great ambience. Perfect for families, the young and the young at heart, There is plenty of open space and benches around for seating.
You see quite a few cyclists, electric scooter riders, joggers and poeple just walking and taking in the sights.
There is a cafe on site open everyday, and a mobile coffee van there on weekends
There is a dedicated parking area with more available in the surrounds.
In the warmer months you can go for a swim here and the water is also tested during the same period.
Swans, ducks and an array of birds are great to see

Lovely spot and food and drink were well above par, a great little stop off for a sneaky Sav Blanc or Dry Red as a reward after your gruelling Lake ride or walk.

Lovely park, green lawns, black swans coming for a forage. Public toilets near cafe, BBQ facilities, benches to sit and enjoy lake views. Limited parking at cafe to go for walks around Kingston Foreshore and Eastern Basin

Peaceful park with a great playground. I often stop here with my Flemish rabbit for a little office picnic.

He loves finding random bit of wood to show me... And gift me. Sometimes it's leaves, grass or random items he has found in the park.

Thankfully this park has little to no litter. As he likes to thump at rubbish and demard it be banished... Into the bin.

Highly recommend stopping for a 5min break or 1hr. Whatever time permits

Bowen Park is very nice spot to go, for a walk around the Lake or have a BBQ or Picnic lunch.
The is a toilet block in the car park.

You for get your food, no problem go to the On Lake Cafe and get your meals there.

We have a nice day and have a coffee at the new venue at the Bowen Park. Our friend has this Cafe. Please come and have a cuper and nice food.

Beautiful park with views of the lake. Seating and picnic areas available. A cafe is near the lake and just a great walk or bike path.

Walking through the park on my way to the war memorial and just had to stop to take a photo. Beautiful park by the lake.

There are around half a dozen seats, acres of lush grass to sit on, plenty of shade and it is a great place to watch the lake, especially as storms roll past. There are public toilets next to the On-Lake Cafe. Access of Bowen Drive to a small carparp, or walk to there from the Kingston Foreshore.

Cafe has best coffee in Canberra, aswell as delicious munchies from kebabs, fish n chips, Snitchels, cakes, and ideal views of lake.. large carpark, free bbqs, backed by large trees shading picnic areas. Ideal for intimate dates or large family gatherings. Im already trying to decide what I will choose of menu when i go this afternoon "gozleme" at top of my but ill ask the chefs what they recommend today

Nice park at kingston

I really enjoyed coming here on Thursday 6 August 2020. They were having some eftpos trouble because Telstra, so maybe have a little cash on you if you go. But excellent food and coffee, and very accommodating of my allergies. Not too pricey either. $16 for a wrapless souvlaki with a side of salad and chips. Very yummy on a cold day!
