Spectacular scenery; facilities not 'fancy' but clean and great; we arrived after closing and sort of helped ourselves to a site but staff great in the morning and very helpful. Did I say, spectacular scenery?!

Our group was grateful to be hosted by Auswalk at Angorichina Village in April 23. Dave and Carolyn are friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth people. Rebel and Monty are great little fury companions too 😀.
We stayed in the dorms with plenty of room, very comfortable beds and enough hot water for our group of 30.
The view is spectacular, the internet we didn't miss. Public Landline available on site.
Situated between Parachilna and Blinman. Short drive to both.
Looking forward to a return trip worth the camper and the luckiest bloke by my side 😉
Blinman Pools Walk is gorgeous and well worth the stop over.

Probably the most picturesque caravan/cabin/camping park in the entire Flinders Ranges. Its nestled on top of a remote hilltop surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Its a down to earth place run by down to earth people. Diesel, 91 & 98 petrol are available from the pump, a large selection of tyres with fitting available and a good licensed shop for supplies. Its hard to beat!

A great park for a stop over or few nights stay, situated between Blinman and Parachilna. We camped in our tent, with our dog for 2 nights, and spent the days travelling around the area. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners who have been in the area for 38 years. They offer cabins, powered and unpowered sites. Despite the park being on the smaller side, and situated on the road, it was very quiet. The toilets laundry and showers were very accessible and clean. The reception has food, alcohol and other camping supplies for sale, and the owner doubles as a mechanic so can help out with vehicle troubles. The Blinman Pools Walk begins here, and the owners offer local tours too. There is no phone or internet signal.

Excellent. We stayed at the Village whilst we were attending the Flinders Classic 2019. Very friendly owners, clean, and a shop that has so much in offer, with prices that are quite reasonable considering the location. We will be back for sure. And whilst you are there go on down the road to the North Blinman Hotel for wonderful food and drinks.

David and Caroline are amazing people down to earth go out of there way for you. We had a meal at the blinman pub where we spoke to David and mentioned we had hoped to get some fuel in 3 cars but were to late. David happily organised
Caroline to open and allow us to get fuel at 9pm when they had closed at 5pm. Gret spot to stay and explore. Have been comming here for over 30 years.

About Parachilna
Town in Australia

Parachilna is a country town in South Australia. The town was first surveyed in 1863 due to its closeness to a government water well. It is on the railway line and road between Port Augusta and Leigh Creek. Today, the Prairie Hotel, railway station, airstrip and a few buildings remain. The road east into the Flinders Ranges leads through Parachilna Gorge, recognised for its scenic beauty, to Blinman. The town is surrounded by Motpena station pastoral lease. The town's name is from the Aboriginal patajilnda, meaning "place of peppermint gum trees". The spelling difference is due to an early translation misreading. The railway station was completed in 1881 as part of the line to Leigh Creek through Beltana. The area was one of the set locations for the Australian feature film, Rabbit Proof Fence. The Prairie Hotel is the only substantial building in the town, dating from the days when the rail was supreme. Away from the highway, the hotel fronts the railway line and the now derelict station building. The sandstone and limestone building has been in part retained, in part restored and extended. source
