Absolutely the best Indian food I’ve had in recent times. Chicken Chettinad and Chicken Tikka was amazing. Prem, our very lovely waiter was so helpful and sweet and lovely to talk to. Would 100% recommend this as a great place to eat in Canberra.

Authentic Indian experience with very helpful and friendly service. Loved every mouthful. Mutter mushroom paneer and eggplant masala are delicious. Chicken Jalfrezi and Chicken Chettinad also fabulous. Dips, entrees and naans just topped it off. Highly recommend.

Had one of the best curries I've ever had here. Went with the hosts suggestion - Chicken Chettinad and it was unbelievably good. The Eggplant Masala was also great. Great service too and the host was very kind and friendly.

Yogis has to be the best Indian in Canberra. The food is fresh and delicious. If you're a vegetarian you have so much to choose from. The waiter is gracious and loads of fun.

Excellent Customer Service.

I've been enjoying the savoury lunch specials for a while. The food is definitely a big part of my day and somedays I look forward to it.

What I do want to highlight is their excellent service. In particular, an incident today. I had my usual filling two curries and rice. But this time either I or the lady serving me misheard me and added a different curry to the mix, now don't get me wrong, all their curries are delicious, but I was just aiming for a Aloo Eggplant rather than a Dhal. So instead of charging me for what I did not ask, she served me my two curries and rice, and the Aloo Eggplant as a complimentary meal. I was excited, not because I didn't end up paying extra. But that my loyalty was rewarded with something unexpected. Made my day!

So if you're around Barton during Lunch! Definitely go to them for Indian!

On a visit to Canberra from Melbourne and we decided to try this little jewel of a restaurant near our hotel. As we neared the restaurant the aromas from the kitchen were wafting onto the street and were very enticing. We were warmly greeted and seated by the host. The gentleman was very patient & helpful with my companion who has a multitude of dietary restrictions and guided her through the menu reassuringly. For entree we ordered the Amritsari fish which was fresh white fish pieces delicately spiced, lightly coated then fried. Cooked perfectly they were light & delicious. We also enjoyed the crisply cased vegie samosas. For mains we tried the goat curry which was beautifully spiced, the delicate flavoured meat on the bone was cooked fork tender and bathed in a mild curry sauce. A mild dal dish & white rice made very good accompaniments, as did the spinach & cheese naan.
Service was very friendly & accomodating. Meals were served in good time. Servings were generous.
Highly recommended.
It is a shame we don’t live in Canberra as we would have put this great eatery on our regulars list.

Definitely one of the best meals we had in Canberra in years - the recommended goat chettinad was super tender and bursting with flavour. The khadai prawns were creamy and delightful in a distinctive way. What impressed us most was the bindhi (okra) masala which was done just right, cooked on a slow flame so that it wasn't mushy. Best of all was the warm friendly service, which even ended up with movie recommendations ;)

Another great find on the same night as the kebab shop opposite. Most underrated Indian food joint. Very welcoming staff and very subtle and cosy environment. They didn't have we were after on the menu but on request they made what they had in the way we wanted, which is very very kind of them and very uncommon in small restaurants. Thanks

Overall a great experience. Food was delicious, wait staff are super friendly. Shout out to Prem who was lovely to chat with. The seating can be a bit better, the chairs were too low.
Definitely recommend this place for delicious and well priced Indian food!

Had dinner here during a stay at a near hotel. Food was very good and well priced. Service a little pot luck, I think it would depend on how busy they are. It serves a a takeaway too so some of the tables are used by people waiting for their take out. Not licensed yet but I'm told this is coming soon. It is BYO though with a bottle shop right next door.
