The musical Quartet. U2, stated in 1988, "...I still haven't found what I'm looking for...". When looking for groceries on the way home from work, IGA Midway shopping centre, Denistone East, could be the place you're looking for. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. They do greet you with a genuine smile and for me I personally acknowledge how demanding and challenging it can be working in retail. Regardless of your profession, your rank and status it is these young people who spend all day on their feet, meeting and greeting customers and restocking the shelves that you as a consumer simply expect to be there at your beckoning. So please you may be a hot shot lawyer, a surgeon or a plumber give thanks that these retail workers work hard all day so that you can go home and fill your belly's with grub and stuff. I have no idea as to IGA's work practices and the payment for their work these young people receive I am positive that their efforts do not match their recompense. Yet, I have always found the staff to be throughly helpful and friendly. IGA, Denistone East has a lovely fresh meat area (I'm assuming the butchers next door trade their meats). So the mince, steaks and poultry which i have bought and cooked are tasty, fresh quality meats. The aisles are a little tight, however considering the space allotted to the bountiful goods it proves to be easily overcome. Everyday they have yellow value tabs hanging from their shelves. Be it chocolate or baked beans if you like me are poor AF you can eat well during the working week. Plenty of parking and generous hours of operation. So no need to pander to the groceries big wigs, try 'ye olde' village type providore. Fresh food and goods snd awesome friendly staff.

This is a nice, small supermarket where you can mostly find your every day items.Unfortunately it also sells way out of date food.It is mostly heavilly discounted, but I happen to have purchased chocolates for half price only to discover they were few months out of date.Is it even legal? Shame...
