I am a regular here. Sitting next to the window looking at the view. Sashimi is always a top qualify. I feel like the food is made for the king. Thank you, chef!!!

Soft Shell crab taco was very yummy and the wagyu beef yakiniku was so delicious. Food is always very delicious, service was good and we were given another bowl of edamame as food was a little slow, which wasn’t a problem for us.

Andre and his team serve up excellent Japanese cuisie with a very personable service. Definitely one of the better (if not best) in and around the Gordon area.
If you're interested in some authentic Japanese - you must check it out.

Ordered Yakisaba Bento set. Delicious and value for money.
Waiter is a Japanese lady who is very polite. Not very good at English but does the job.
Hidden gem in this area. Will visit again.

I've been coming here for a good few years. It's an overlooked gem in this area. If you like Japanese, you're missing out if you don't give Acacia a go!

Well worth a revisit. Hadn't been for a while so it was heartening to see that if anything it was better than before. The decor has not changed but that is a good thing: the space is clean and generous and understatedly modern. The menu still features old favourites but there are a number of new things to sample so sample we did. The Tapas selection is wonderful. The Salmon collar was so good and the soft shell crab done perfectly. The sashimi is just as I remembered it, fresh, generous and beautifully presented. The owner is attentive and friendly so if like us you haven't been for a while book yourself in for a wonderful experience.
I highly recommend the Chef's recommendation Wagyu Beef. It' takes a little longer to prepare but is well worth the wait. Still the best Japanese restaurant in the area.

This restaurant is very nice, I would recommend trying it. You can tell that the owner really cares about his customers and especially about making quality food. We got the Udon and the tempura vegetables, both were delicious and had great depth of flavour. I would recommend the Udon as it has a good variety of components and tastes delicious. The owner is a very nice person too. If you are feeling Japanese food, definitely give this one a shot.

Just finished my lunch bento box with the salmon collar. Beautiful dish. The salmon was succulent & tasty. The service was excellent & the wine selections were complimentary to the food. This is my second stop here for lunch. Will definitely not be my last. I’ve seen some of the 1 & 2 star reviews. Clearly left by people who don’t know what good authentic Japanese food is.

The entire place is run by one person. He preps, cooks, waiters and cleans all by himself. To maintain the quality of his food (and it is amazing) is a mammoth effort. Some people have complained about the dirty dishes and the long wait times. He has a few tables where he stacks all the dirty dishes on a table near the entrance that he does at the end of the night because he doesn't have enough time to do them during service. The wait times can be long so bring some good friends and prepare for a comfy night in but its because, once again, the entire, 50 seated restaurant is run by one person who does literally everything. I wish this man all the best and will come as often as possible. He is my hero

Love the ambience, friendly service and good food of this restaurant. I have been coming to this restaurant since it started. Tried quite a number of dishes over time and they were all good. Salmon Kama(grilled salmon collar) is my favourite. I have recommended this dish to many colleagues and friends and they all loved it. However you must prepare to wait for it to be cooked. Otherwise call before you arrive.

My family and I dined at Acacia last night and I wanted to take a moment to praise the incredible food plus the service of the owner who was the only employee on the floor and managed to both serve and cook meals for everyone in the restaurant. While there was a bit of a wait he was upfront about this at the start and it was well worth it in the end. A truly lovely evening. Thank you

The restaurant was very quiet and the only person working/ serving was the chef. I'm sure this is because they didn't have a lot of customers and, obviously, the pandemic. However, the food was excellent and the service was gracious and timely. We had edamame, salmon sashimi, a sample plate with a soft shell crab taco, octopus ball, crab claw, and salmon with wasabi cream cheese. We also had some wagyu which was served very fresh and hot, with complimentary rice.

The only drawbacks were that due to only a few patrons, they had obviously only planned on serving a limited amount of sushi. So, when we asked for it, we were told it was sold out. Understandable 🤷‍♀ The prices were probably a bit steep, but I can see how they're aiming for "fine dining" Japanese and are therefore priced similarly. Last, the menu did seem a bit confused. But once again, I think this had to do with their aim to be more upscale as opposed to just a neighbourhood sushi restaurant.

Overall, the food was beautiful and service was good. I would definitely eat there again, with the understanding that I'd be paying more than average but for a nicer dining experience.

Visited for the first time after being in the area for 3 years. The food is superb and presented differently and modern but the taste is what shines. The miso soup alone is so well made by the chef. Service can be slow at times but if you are not in a rush then sit back and enjoy. Sake is great too.
