Hopscotch Restaurant & Bar

My wife and I are in Tamworth for our first country music festival here. We're staying at the Edward Parry Motel, and the owners ( Michael and Lisa) recommended the Hopscotch Restaurant and Bar to us. I have to say we're very happy that they did. Situated in a park by the river, adjacent to the centre of town, and in the middle of a recreation park including a small water feature, this is a happy, relaxing place to be.

The staff are very friendly, the menu is very comprehensive, and the chefs are creating wonders. We've been here three days so far, this is the second time we've had brunch at Hopscotch, we've had four different dishes and they've all been conversation killers, except for the occasional "Oh wow" and " I'm so full but I can't stop eating".
We're seriously impressed.
We have another three days here and Hopscotch will feature.
So far we've had;
Poke Bowl with chicken,
Scrambled eggs on toast with bacon,
Avocado toast ( which includes poached egg & other yummy stuff)
Eggs Benny with bacon on croissant.( with hollandaise to die for).

Let's not forget the mango frappes we've been having as well..... just the thing on a hot day.

Everything has been beautifully presented (the restaurant and the meals), and the flavours superb.

Great location surrounded by park and play for kids. Great menu choices couldn’t fault over many visited. Bathroom facilities attached.
My wrap was great.

Nice and fluffy pancakes. Very delicious mediterrain steak sandwich. Beautiful park right next to outdoor tables. Very cozy and spacious.

Had a lovely breakfast with friends . Lovely setting , great staff , a nearby playground and splash park, lots of shade , food was good . Serving sizes generous without being too big . Coffee was well made
Did not have to wait long.

Meal was very tasty, may I say they were the best chips I’ve had in a long time.

The staff were lovely and very accommodating as we had our dog and toddler. They brought out a bowl for Mindy so she could have water. The food was tasty.

Been in for a bite at least 4 times in 3 days with the family. Service is fantastic; food is absolutely speedy & delicious; location is superb. Marianne & Sean in particular are always friendly & welcoming, and genuinely one of the nicest placest we've eaten at ever. Just go. 🤣

It's so relaxed.
From the reception to cashier l didn't feel any stress bcz l am not the local.
The food is fantastic and well service.
I suggest this restaurant to anyone sincerely!
By the way the location just near by the playground!

I came here as part of a group for a work function. Excellent, friendly service in a lovely setting. A lively menu and very tasty, well-presented food. Probably the best meal I've had anywhere in Tamworth. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town.

We were recommended this place by a local and it didn't disappoint! Lovely area right near a park and playground, great atmosphere and we'll maintained. Seating options inside and out with table service as well as takeaway. It's wheelchair and pram friendly, and also caters to a variety of dietary requirements. Great large menu, we have chicken burgers with a milkshakes and a coffee frappe, and the meal sizes were so large we almost couldn't finish them! Great value for money, didn't wait long for our meals either.

Best place in Tamworth for breaky! This cafe should get 100 starts for having savoury mince on toast on the menu, so good! The mango frappe was excellent. Wish we lived in Tamworth so could eat here more often.

This place is incredible, love a place that has unique brekky options that impress.

Everything was delicious and extremely filling.

Also no biggie but one of the workers had met Veronicas there so you know.. by extension

Called in twice when visiting Tamworth. Great facility and surrounds. Good range of food and very helpful staff. Pet friendly.

Menu has something for everyone. My wife and I have been back numerous times for the eggs shakshuka which are the best you will taste.
Very friendly staff, great coffee and pet friendly. What more could you ask for?

This is still a wonderful place to stop when you are travelling. It’s has plenty of car parking,nice staff and food and is dog friendly. The surrounding parks and facilities for kids and adults are outstanding. The only disappointment was the coffee which was not good. Stick with tea!
The workout machines nearby are fantastic.Must be some pork barrelling happening around Tamworth

Great location in the park near the playground. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are always friendly and courteous. The coffee is good. The gluten free pumpkin bread is 👍, and the savoury mine on toast is delicious! Plenty of other menu options. Generous serving sizes.

A group us had a lovely Sunday breakfast inside the cafe. Each diner enjoyed their meal. Service was efficient and friendly. Great menu. But please add a pancake option. We will return
