What a great little park in the middle of Ipswich. Areas for BBQ and play spots for the kids. Even a ramp to launch the kayak from. The odd small bass on lures but the debris in the river can be a bit off-putting at times.

The yak launch is steep and a bit muddy. Only a 2km stretch is kayakable here as rapids will stop you going further. Can't fish due to PFAS. It is peaceful though. Be prepared to navigate through branches close to the water.

Nice park to have lunch at.
Just make sure to bring the multi purpose cleaner to wipe off the picnic table. Seems to be popular amongst the local bird life too.

Nice quiet beautiful and peaceful and good park and area for kids to run around in well away from the water to ! :)
