Suntan special was a VeRy nIcE bUrGeR! VetY TasTY!!! You could even take that for a dinner if you feel like not cooking. By the way, my partner had a bacon burger and I was told that it was GreAT as WeLL!! So, you can take any burger!!

Absolutely the best burgers in Bowen and between Mackay and Townsville. 10/10, everything tastes clean and fresh.
Service is top notch, friendly and Memorable, with the cash only option the family will never know the real reason why you are too full for dinner.
Atmosphere - why worry about that when you can grab your burger to go? But there is some searing option if you'd rather eat then get going again.

If you grew up in the 70's then this joint is THE place to grab a feed.
No muckin' around, classic burger and chips flavor cooked the way they were when the world was colored sepia. In fact the paint job still is.😁
Can't wait to try all the other menu goodies.

The biggest and best burger around is called THE SUNTAN SPECIAL , you won't find a bigger or better burger than that one , has it all that youd want to make it special, ,Suntan has been here a long time ,I recommend trying this takeaway shop for food to go.

Surprisingly one of the best hamburgers I've ever tasted. This little place is run by a husband and wife team and is very minimalistic. Don't let the lack of fancy decor put you off. The Works burger I ordered was fresh, juicy and full of flavour. It was also huge. Highly recommended!

The first time I came here I had the best burger I've ever eaten 28 years ago. The last time I came here was only a few months ago & nothing's changed; they still make the best burgers. We'll done to the lovely couple that own this shop; great friendly service & very fast as well.

Delicious steak and mince burghers from this small nondescript outlet in Bowen. The standard burgher I ordered came with a soft sesame bun, fried onion, lettuce, beetroot, and a thick beef patti. perfect.

This is a no frills good old fashioned burger place! The chips are great and remind me of what a lot of burger shops use to be like. Don’t expect luxury! Just good old fashioned burgers!

old fashioned. Old style. And this isn't a 'new' retro job. This is how this snack bar has been for more than 50 or 60 years. It makes burgers the old way and even toasts the buns. best mince, best meat. Give it a go if you are in Bowen. It's a blast from the past.
