Thank you so much amazing team at Westmead Hospital. I'm so grateful 🙏 for all your support and the help that I needed to get better. You guy's work so hard from the lovely receptionists to amazing nurse's and wonderful and talented Doctors. We are all so blessed to have such a great team to look after us all when we are sick. God bless you all and keep up the great work.

I thought I had sprained my ankle, but when an Xray revealed it was broken, I presented myself to Westmead Emergency Department. Triage was immediate. Sure, there was a wait after that, but staff were lovely. I was seen by the critical care trauma team who clearly explained what happened next, booked me in for surgery two days later, fitted me with a boot and crutches, and checked I would be able to manage at home until surgery. There was another quite long wait in the ED on the day of the operation, but it went ahead and care in the trauma unit afterwards was excellent. Apart from the wonderful nurses, I was seen by an orthopaedic doctor, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist before being discharged the next day.

Good hospital, most people complaining come here contribute nothing then have a hide to complain about how long they have to wait . Go back home and let us know if you got any help at all. On top of that the nurses and doctors are dealing with imbeciles who shouldn't even be in hospital or emergency as its non urgent. I bet if they had to pay $100 the place would be bloody empty. I recently had a actual emergency and hats of to the entire team.

Received the highest level of care possible. So grateful to all the nurses and doctors and technicians involved in my care. Dr Van Nyugen is a wonderful, caring and understanding doctor. Thank you so much.

My husband had to go for a PET scan yesterday and was very nervous. They staff in this department from the receptionist through to all tge doctors and nurses were absolutely fantastic. They made a scary experience a very comfortable one. Thank you to everyone in this department.

I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Thank God it hasn’t spread out.
So today I was at Westmead hospital to see doctors and surgeons.
The nurses were lovely and the doctors were simply wonderful!

Was brought in by ambulance suffering from what I thought was severe back pain which was actual my heart , the staff where great and professional. They kept me updated on every test result and were comforting and caring. They maybe understaff but they do an amazing job under pressure and non stop stress . These are the true heroes. Thank you again

I recently was admitted to Westmead public hospital, emergency rooms ,I felt I was in the right place with my cardiac condition, I was treated very well the nurses and drs were all exceptionally attentive and caring great team work , even up in the cardiac ward the nurses were all exceptionally attentive made me feel at ease they knew their job and executed it with pride … I am very grateful to the team in the cardiac ward . In July I spent two weeks there after major liver surgery spent time in ICU ,HDU and a week in the new section of the hospital.
My experience was extremely positive even though there were a few complications from the surgery all issues were fixed.
My overall experience with all the staff was filled with dedicated people who were very empathetic to my needs.
You could only feel sympathy for the nursing staff that were so stretched , but even with that they were more than happy to help me when asked. To say the the nursing system is at braking point would be an understatement we are very lucky to have such a dedicated group of individuals.
A hospital is only as good as the people that work there.

My aunt and mum gave birth at Westmead they lost 2 litres of blood the nurses helped them and they recovered and they got treated good and nice staff and very funny midwife’s and my grandpa got treated with good nurses with respect who cared and i cried once he died on December 2017 and the people who helped him was this worker named Karen she was nice and my family got treated with so much care and respect by nurses and doctors thanks Westmead for taking care of my family all over there years

The service and care are top quality and the staff are friendly, helpful, professional and polite (special thanks to the dental special care unit and X-ray department). The hospital is easy to navigate and the wait times are very reasonable. Very positive experience.

I had delivered the baby in August and had a great experience in the hospital.It was a normal delivery.Midwife Jarrah Macaulay was very kind and helped me in the delivery process.She was a great support to me.Thanks to her and complete team

TOP EXPERIENCE OVERALL. Read this, you won't regret it.

So i had a standard sneaky procedure, which didn't end well and ended up in Coronary care.

I was surprised by the level of informatisation, great doctors and the nurses empathy levels (to the roof!)

I can name Allison, Punam but there were more. Private usually have nervous Karens, not the public hospital at Westmead.

Caring and patient.

The hospital didn't smell (have you visited any public hospital in the world?) which is great.

The bad? Well mostly people, which is not the hospital fault per se, although they could have a way of limiting the noise after 8pm even if visiting guests are allowed to stay (which policy wise they are not!)

And of course the shared rooms are hell if you are sensitive to noises, complains, moanings, visitors and constant interruptions to you and the other 3 in the room

and the shared bathroom, should be cleaned at least 3 times a day. not once

still great overall

I'm going to be completely honest about my experience with this hospital from the minute we arrived at the emergency room until we were dismissed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that helped my son in the emergency room, PICU, and ward. They took excellent care of us and made us feel like family. Thank you so much, guys; if I try to say everything, it will take forever. God bless you all.
