No.1 Malatang is alway number 1. I had tomatoes soup with ox bone. Food options is not too varied but in good quality and has something that you cannot find in other Malatang. Service is also friendly.

A treasure for food in Bondi Junction - you get to customise your bowl any quantity from a wide variety of fresh veggies, fish balls, meat, noodles and seafood (note that selection is smaller than similar stores in places like Chinatown).
And select from a variety of very tasty soup or the dry option.

People complain about the high prices but
1. you basically can choose to eat a whole bowl of non carb ingredients. Most places you go to would give you 70-80% rice or noodles.
2. You have to figure the portions that are right for you (I over ordered my first time and sometimes after that too!)

Great food and super friendly chef! It’s just sad to see the low staff, I feel sorry that the chef doesn’t have more help. 10/10 for the chef and food 😃

Was so good, 10/10! Get the spicy ox bone broth, 1 spoon of garlic sauce, 2 spoons of sesame sauce and a touch of sugar

Food and price is ok . But they say 5% discount if pay by cash . But sometime ( not 1 times ) maybe they “ forgot “ you should remind them if they forgot :)

I am familiar with the same franchise in Burwood and both are comparable to each other. I was a little surprise to see this here as the population of Chinese people isn’t as large as Burwood. I was a little concerned as the frozen food look like it had defrosted to room temp on a hot day and not that many customers meaning low turn over but glad to say I survived.

I was a bit disappointed that they cut my boil egg in half spilling the egg yolk but then I read the review of someone complaining their food wasn’t cut up small like they were a baby. Also it costed $30. When I first ate in Burwood well before covid these were like $20 a bowl but that is inflation for you.

The classic soup tasted the same as in Burwood but for the uninitiated you have to put the condiments in to make your taste buds sing otherwise the base soup by itself taste like dirty dish water and not the savoury Unami liquid from the Gods. I add 2 scoops of the light brown sauce, I’m guessing it is sesame or peanut, 1 scoop garlic and a dash or 2 of vinegar. If you need it hotter add chilli and peppermint oil.

On this day I have wide sweet potato vermicelli, bok choy, boiled egg, spicy chicken and lamb.
