Chang'an Noodle Chatswood

Great place for a break away from main stream Chinese food. The Chilli Oil Noodle is served in a massive bowl and wouldn’t be a bad idea if you wanted to order one to share as it’s quite a lot, taste wise, it’s okay. My highlight was the fried dumplings. Staff don’t really speak English but it wasn’t a problem, if anything, it added to the authenticity. I enjoyed my meal here.

I saw how many reviews were talking about the chilli oil noodles so I got them and they were super good. They were tasty, really chewy, but could definitely be much more spicy. The Chinese hamburger(肉夹馍) was DELICIOUS. The bun was stuffed with juicy tender pork. All the serving sizes were generous.

everything was so good, such good prices for a prime location and huge portions. the Liang Pi I wish had bigger or more cucumber. the flavours are on point. clean and well decorated

If you’re craving chewy noodles, this is the place to go. It wasnt clear with google, but it was actually located just in district dining.

The spicy dry mix noodle was delicious. Generous amount of toppings and super thick hand pull noodles, with a spicy sauce.
The beef and tomato soup noodle was not spicy at all, soup was a bit bland but they were generous with the beef. Noodle was chewy too.

Cold dish seaweed was good, flavourful and bitey.

Love the chilli oil noodles, super delicious! Served in massive bowl. The service was super quick.

I loved the noodles here. It's the first time I've properly enjoyed Chinese style noodle soups in a while, despite my overexposure to the cuisine.

Improvements - maybe adding dumplings to their menu

What we ordered:
1. Oil chilli noodles: just the right amount for me. This chilli lingers but does not bring pain. If you want to ask for more, they will cater
2. Beef noodles: noodles a bit too soft texture wise, nearly mushy?
3. Hamburg: do not recommend. Lacks in flavour.

The oil chilli noodles are really good. Quantity, quality and spiciness were just right and the price is good too. If I were to come back, I would only get the oil chilli again

3rd time I've been here within 2 weeks ... Can't seem to get enough of the chilli noodles 😳 usually I don't eat out at the same place this often within a short period unless there's other menu items I want to try...

The noodles were quite nice and handmade. I got the Changan oil chilli noodles and it was delicious. The bowl was packed with ingredients, the wide noodles were amazing, lots of chilli added which I love. Nicely braised beef and very tender. Great noodle spot for a quick lunch.

Affordable price with amazingly big portion! The noodle was handmade, and we can see all the actions. All the process is clean and visible, we are confident to eat there more often. :)

Really nice handmade noodles in delicious sauces or broth. Prices on the steep side due to location.

Very tasty northen Chinese hand-made noodles.

Their portion and pricing are very great.. Their dumplings are also very nice too and the noodles we have tried different types and enjoyed them all! Sometimes the cashier can be a nice friendly young lady or very grumpy old lady.. Clean shop too.

The noodles were fresh, the flavour of the overall bowl of noodles was excellent. The dumplings were good as well. Also very reasonably priced. Will definitely return for more.

DO YOU LIKE GARLIC 🧄??! If you do, this place is for you. I only tried the tomato 🍅 and chili oil super wide fat noodles which were al dente and chewy. There were lots of contrasting textured bits and bobs in the noodles like wood ear fungus, bits of pork meat and I think sweet potato and cucumber 🥒?! Weird but it all tasted good together. Good size portion for me and I’m a fatty. Give it a try.

Good noodle restaurant. Noodles are freshly made and taste great. The soup broth was good too. Serving is big. Good service. Clean and nice dining atmosphere.

Absolutely delectable Chang'an food that reflects on the ancient past of Xi'an. The food is great with chilli with a variety of different noodles. The wait time here is a bit slow though.
