Commercial Hotel Cygnet

Great little pub. Amazing staff, went out of their way to look after us. Best vegetarian burgers I have ever had! Other food delicious too. Would highly recommend a visit for good food and good company.

Brilliant pub! We recently stopped here on our Tassie travels & couldn’t fault the service & hospitality. Meals were generous & delicious, we had steaks & the best fish & chips on our trip. The owner personally made sure all our needs were met, and all the staff were terrific - special mention to Hayley & Cass who were absolutely the best, going out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. Don’t let a few naysayers turn you off, our stay here was so much fun & one of the highlights of our trip, I couldn’t recommend more highly!

My friends & I recently dined in the hotel Cafe. We liked the quite and homely atmosphere and the down to earth service. Our meals were very generous and well priced. This was exactly what we were looking for after the previous evening in this region being the precise opposite.

Great pub with lots of atmosphere and awesome staff. Made very welcome and even chose to stay an additional night. Highly recommended

Had lunch at the bistro and were doted on by the staff there! Gave us a complimentary bowl of chips for the kids as my youngest spilt her drink. Very good service and highly recommend!

Dropped in here without expectations or any food to eat and the staff were amazing!! They squeezed us in last minute for the most delicious pub meal I've had in a long time. Lovely staff and reasonable prices. Great place to stop by and sit out on the terrace for a bite to eat or a drink 😊 highly recommended!!

For years I’ve hankered after a scallop pie but have never been able to find a gluten-free version. Today whilst strolling around Cygnet I was thrilled to spot a sign advertising GF Scallop Pies at the Commercial Hotel.
I immediately went in and was able to pick up a hot take away pie. It was delicious and packed with scallops, the curry sauce not overpowering either. The GF pastry was excellent too.

I had a delicious GF chicken schnitzel with chips, salad and mushroom gravy! It was fantastic to see so many gluten free options on a pub menu. Very fast, friendly service and generous serving sizes!

Great food, great friendly service, can’t ask for more than that!! Everybody in our party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed their meal and we are glad we found this place.

We had lovely roast and bangers meals mid week when not much else open. Very friendly and helpful service. He was also very efficient considering only worker on by the looks. Very generous portions and good atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for dinner in Cygnet!

This is such a beautiful Hotel.The wood fire was very welcoming and the staff were wonderful. Meals were very well priced and decently sized. Our meals were excellent. We went there as a group booking and everyone loved there meals including myself. 5 stars guys keep up the good work *****

I love this pub. Oldest pub in the area, great charm, great bar.
The food is consistently good. The staff are super friendly and their hours are great.
The cafe has good food and coffee too if you wanted a quick bite.
There is even a bottle shop out the back, so its a one stop shop.
Rob and the team take pride in being the best pub in the area.

We had dinner at the commercial and had the most deliciously tender beef ribs we have ever eaten. Mathew the bar tender was fantastic recommending a delicious Tasmanian wine and beer to go with our meal. His service was excellent and he was exceptionally friendly to everyone who came in. Highly recommend this establishment

Super friendly service and lovely staff.
They accommodated us and our dogs happily in the outside seating area and even gave our doggos food and water.
Super yummy food too with the staff happily modifying a dish to accommodate us picky eaters lol
